Peace and Europe
Our country is already a long time member of the most powerful alliance in the New World.
This alliance is called PEACE GC, or the whole People of Earth Associated under Common Excellence: Global Community.
Here for our new players a little history lesson.
The PEACE GC is formed from two earlier alliances. It it was established to counter the Atlantis alliance. Atlantis was once a strong aggressor who often made raids on smaller countries and a lot of war held. Their largest operation was French Toast, an invasion of France by the USA, Sweden, Spain, UK and Canada. At first this operation was a success, but the French managed to force them out with the help of their allies, thanks to the help of the Peace countries Italy and Indonesia.
ATLANTIS eventually fell and now Peace is the most powerful alliance in TNW.
What do the United Netherlands now in PEACE, you will wonder. If you ask you will hear that our special forces to help in the war against Sweden and Poland. There are a few delegates, but also you need to ask.
There are many proposals for a European league to do so.
These ideas were never off the ground. The mouth is quickly cutt down by influential citizens who believe that the large countries there is no sense in it. I believe that if there is a strong idea and a government dare to support that idea that there is something may occur.
The big downside of Peace, I think that it is not very democratic. The citizens of the United Netherlands choose the president who sits in PEACE, but you can not really choose PEACE representatives. And remember: the President has more to do than just work with PEACE.
Why would an European alliance for the United Netherlands?
A wise saying: better a good neighbor than a distant friend. When we MPP for example, Indonesia is of course fine, but here in Europe, the wars conducted by Sweden and Poland and those who fight against it? France, Italy and Hungary. Fighting promote your XP. Moreover, it is just fun. Why there is a baby boom in France and takes place in the United States not? Because they act. I think that a war can promote our population. People do not play a game for only one time each day on two buttons.
Why would an European alliance for the European powers?
Together we are strong. The European powers know this to. With a European alliance, the most powerful army of TNW arise what any small aggressor the boss can. Then the Americans will no longer have such big talk.
At present, the United Kingdom to the doubt. Most people feel no more for a new Atlantis, but also not be seen PEACE. A European Alliance is an intermediate step. Perhaps later they can still agree to join PEACE.
And our friends than PEACE?
We do not leave PEACE. Each member of the Alliance is free to go to any Alliance if they dont attack other Alliance states. In this way, the United Netherlands assured of safety.
I have a plan ready. The great lines in it, the details are still vague. Anyone who is interested can ask me. If the government does not immediately take down but want to watch, I will certainly be more willing to work on this. Anyone who has added what so ever can in this topic set.
This plan is one of the major areas where the Union Party stands for.

Ons landje is nu al een hele tijd lid van de machtigste alliantie in the New World.
Deze alliantie heet PEACE GC, of in het geheel People of Earth Associated under Common Excellence: Global Community.
Hier voor onze nieuwe spelers een klein geschiedenislesje.
De PEACE GC is ontstaan uit twee oudere allianties. Het werd vooral opgericht om de alliantie ATLANTIS tegen te gaan. Atlantis was vroeger een sterke agressor die vaak invallen deed op kleinere landen en heel erg van oorlog hield. Hun grootste operatie was operatie French Toast, een inval op Frankrijk door de USA, Zweden, Spanje, UK en Canada. In eerste instantie leek deze operatie een groot succes maar de Fransen wisten de invallers terug te drijven, mede dankzij de hulp van de PEACE landen Italië en Indonesië.
Uiteindelijk viel ATLANTIS uiteen en nu is Peace de machtigste alliantie in TNW.
Wat doen de Verenigde Nederlanden nu eigenlijk met PEACE, zul je je afvragen. Als je er naar vraagt zal je te horen krijgen dat onze speciale eenheden meehelpen in de oorlog tegen Zweden en Polen. Ook zijn er enkele afgevaardigden, maar ook daar zul je naar moeten vragen.
Er zijn al vele voorstellen gedaan om een Europese verbond op te richten. Deze ideeën kwamen echter nooit van de grond. De mond wordt al snel afgesnoerd door invloedrijke medeburgers die vinden dat de grote landen er toch geen zin in hebben. Ik geloof dat wanneer er een sterk idee staat en een regering durft dat idee te steunen, dat er wel degelijk iets kan ontstaan.
Het grote minpunt van PEACE vind ik dat het niet erg democratisch is. De burgers van de Verenigde Nederlanden kiezen de president die in PEACE zit, maar je kunt niet echte PEACE-vertegenwoordigers kiezen. En vergeet niet: de president heeft meer te doen dan alleen maar met PEACE bezig zijn.
Waarom zou een Europese Alliantie goed zijn voor de Verenigde Nederlanden?
Een wijs gezegde luidt: beter een goede buur dan een verre vriend. Wanneer wij een MPP met bijvoorbeeld Indonesië hebben is dat natuurlijk fijn, maar hier in Europa worden de oorlogen gevoerd door Zweden en Polen en wie vechten daar tegen? Frankrijk, Italië en Hongarije. Vechten bevordert je XP. Bovendien is het gewoon leuk. Waarom er in Frankrijk wel een babyboom plaatsvindt en in de Verenigde Nederlanden niet? Omdat zij actie ondernemen. Ik denk dat een oorlog ons inwoneraantal kan bevorderen. Mensen gaan niet een spelletje spelen om alleen maar iedere dag een keer op twee knoppen te drukken.
Bovendien hebben we dan een stukje veiligheid.
Waarom zou een Europese Alliantie goed zijn voor de Europese grootmachten?
Samen staan we sterk. Ook de Europese grootmachten. Met een Europese Alliantie zal het meest sterke leger van TNW ontstaan wat iedere kleine agressor de baas kan. Dan zullen de Amerikanen niet meer zulke grote praatjes hebben.
Op dit moment is het Verenigd Koninkrijk aan het twijfelen. Meeste mensen voelen niet veel meer voor een nieuw ATLANTIS, maar zien PEACE ook niet zitten. Een Europese Alliantie is een tussenstap. Wellicht kunnen ze later nog wel eens PEACE joinen.
En onze PEACE vrienden dan?
Wij hoeven PEACE niet te verlaten. Ieder lid van de Alliantie is vrij om in welke alliantie dan ook te gaan, zolang zij elkaar niet zullen aanvallen. Op deze manier zijn de Verenigde Nederlanden verzekerd van veiligheid.
Ik heb nu een plan klaarliggen. De grote lijnen staan erin, de details zijn nog wat vaag. Iedereen die erin geïnteresseerd is kan die bij mij opvragen. Als de regering het niet meteen afkraakt maar er naar willen kijken zal ik zeker bereid zijn er meer werk van te maken. Iedereen die toevoegingen heeft what so ever kan dat in dit topic stellen.
Dit plan is een van de grote punten waar The Union Party voor staat.

If all European countries will be within one alliance we will never border a nation that will be an enemy. Boring I think.
Baby booms you get by interesting situations, not when there is no threat.
So in principle the plan is good, but in reality it will be bad.
good plan in theory but like cocoamok said it will make the game so damn boring that a lot of people will quit the game.

En perhaps a day comes for the US.
Look at Asia, which is dominated by PEACE, and you see the real face of it. PEACE is an aggressor in the world, and its European members tolerate that. The United Netherlands should join one of the ATLANTIS successor states and join the fight against tyranny!
Dominated by Peace it is. Indeed the big Peace nations Indonesia, Iran and Hungary occupy important regions.
But Russia is liberated by Peace. China gets regions back. Japan is in Peace, there are nations outside Peace. If there was no Peace US would be in Asia and Romania too. If you like that better indeed Atlantis would be an option. I do not like US nor Romania in Asia. So I prefer Hungary, a nation that barely survived the Romanian attacks and only with the help of Peace we could revive Hungary to an important country that contributes to our freedom. Joining a nation that was in Atlantis is an option that is against our constitution, we are not allowed to give up our independence. But even without the constitution I do not like to give up our independence. We just made an United Netherlands. Lets us make our nation stronger instead of searching for new allies or joining another state.
Like Daniel en Cocoamok implicitly pointed out, this article has contradictori in termini. You propose a European alliance so that all borders are safe, but only see a baby boom in a country where wars are being fought.
In a reply you answer that Sweden and Poland will never be part of the alliance. But than it is no European alliance.
A European alliance sounds great but will not work out well.
Thomas Fairfox: level 9, I am sorry but you do not have any knowledge at all about the history or what so ever.. If you would know then you wuold know that Peace just kicked Romania out of Asia and Ukraine and Russia. Now Indonesia is giving a lot of regions back... its all part of the game,
if you call PEACE the aggressor then sure we support aggressors... and I am damn proud of it!

Yes it's dominated by PEACE, because there are many MEMBERS. The former Atlantis states would conquer whatever they can, but PEACE has stopped them.

You conveniently forgot to mention the agressive actions by PEACE which lead to this bold Atlantis adventure. And again, the union of Belgium and The Netherlands has not reached the department of Foreign Affairs of our Union State, which still uses the rhetoric of the old Dutch days... shame!

DanielB1989 - Like Australia? They look adamant about giving that back. I may not have been playing long, but i can and do read the wiki - in fact, just looking at the map is quite informative. Lets see the countries that America has invaded and occupied, and compare them to the ones Indonesia controls!
Of course fighting wars is part of the fun of the game, but if the wars were just pointless ding-dongs with no higher dimension then that isnt fun - thats a flash game. So in my opinion, down with PEACE, and up with tommorow's ATLANTIS!
Australia is given back its territory as well..
The US is just a weak nation in this game and has some people calling dumb decisions.
