This episode of Good-Bye Blue Monday will have a temporary change in style, if you enjoy it let me know.

This article will be in similar fashion to the New Yorker. There will be comics to separate sections and at the end of the article there will be a caption contest where whoever comes up with the best caption will be rewarded 2 gold.

As election day winds to an end, Emerick appears to be the winner of today's election. And tho I thank Pfeiffer for giving me such a great opportunity that is not what this section is about. I'd like to take a moment to figure out why Emerick won. It may be obvious but I'm curious myself, so continuing on 🙂

Exhibit A) Lower Influence of the USWP Nom
In past months, the USWP nom has been able to win elections singlehandedly. This month however, Emerick got every non inci top 5 party besides the USWP as opposed to months prior where the other parties were split amongst seperate candidates. In addition, there were a large amount of unaffiliated INCI voters which brings us to...

Exhibit B] cCc The Inci Factor cCc
Even though the Inci group did not endorse any candidates, that does not mean that INCI didn't vote. This is all speculation, but judging by what I've read, and the high lead Emerick achieved early and sustained, I would guess that the majority of Inci voted Emerick. Now even if it was just a plurality, Inci is a huge voting block, and whatever Emerick did, he did something right to catch their eye and their vote.

Exhibit C) Emerick is Great?
I can neither confirm nor deny this, but a lot of people are saying it, this may or may not have to do with a large majority of his votes

Military Versus Congress A.K.A. The Shit Finally Hit the Fan

The Military is declaring itself independent from Congress, and
So far I have seen two different starkly different view points on this issue, the first being:

Pro-Congress
Strongest Argument for Congress

Main Points:
-Congress Created the Army

-Military has stolen 1000s of US gold by declaring itself independent of the Government

-US Congress, Constitution are higher authority than Mil

-Current Mil system causes split power that should all lie with the POTUS

-Replace CJCS with SecDef

Pro-Mil
Deershark's rebuttal to Avruch

Main Points
-Congress not elected, but placed by elites

-Militias have numerous representatives in congress, however military has abstained from letting any of it's members serve in congress, giving congress an anti-mil bias

-Congress overstepping it's boundaries by trying to control every aspect of the game, including the Mil

-CJCS has more experience handling battle orders than SecDef

My View
I don't want to turn this article into a shitstorm as well, but my response to a few things:

1)I don't really find the view that "Militias have too much control of congress" as credible. The reason why there are so many congressmembers in Militias is because they want to take part in the military aspect of the game while enjoying the political one, which a member of the Mil cannot do.

2)It is a game, and whether or not Congress is threatening the Mil by reducing funding, the Mil needs to adhere by the constitution OR become a private Militia and adhere to the rules every other militia follows

3)I have seen ex POTUS' comment on how the CJCS has questioned their authority, or told them that their job as POTUS is solely "button clicking". To me that is unacceptable, The President needs to be at the top or else the nation won't function and fights and division will only grow. It's one thing to not want to work under congress, but another to defy the president.

4) Expanding on 3, without a defined power hierarchy, fights like this are just ticking time bombs (whaddya know, we've kept this hidden for a while, and now it's coming to bite us in the ass). And at the top of that hierarchy, there needs to be the President. Not the CJCS, not Congress, the President.

5) Completely removing the JCS, which moves the Mil out of a guaranteed spot in government, has some potential flaws in my opinion. It makes sense that the Mil has some power in the defense department and deciding where to fight, even though it should all trickle down from the POTUS, the Mil needs to have some representation in government or the possibility of career politicians using the Mil to their advantage comes into play. I have seen some suggest that if the SoD does command the Mil, (s)he should be from the mil. But I don't see the Mil and Congress coming to a quick compromise anytime soon regardless. The whole point is moot of course if you believe the Mil should just "STFU and Fight" but I see it's merit.

6) Regardless of whats going on, we need to be ready for fights like this. Don't get me wrong, I believe that this needs to be worked out now and not pushed aside until later, that will only make it worst. Still we can't let our infighting cause a Spanish victory. We need unity, we need results, we need the mil, but we also need our militias. United we stand, divided we fall

Just a play on words with the whole Poland and Spain alliance they got going there

---Edited, Spain has Attacked Maryland Ready yourself to defend your country!---

Now on to
Spain! Attack Imminent...any minute now...
Well, between constantly refreshing elections scores from around the world and chilling on IRC to avoid writing this article, I have been waiting on the “imminent” attack from Spain. After a failed US attack on Galicia, this defensive has been long in coming.

I’m ready to fight
