The following is a fun article, pointing out some intersting facts about Hungary, and Hungarian people.
Driving out Romania from Ukraine and Russia, Hungary got hold of two high resources regions: iron in Urals, and oil in North Caucasus. Interesting facts, that incidentally, these lands were Hungarian lands some 800 years ago.
During the early medieval period, three Hungarian Kingdoms existed. One of these, in the Urals, next to Volga Bolgaria, was known as Magna Hungaria, or Bashkiria. It was reported by Hungarian and Western European diplomats, who assured that the Bashkirs spoke Hungarian, and called their land Bashkiria, or Great-Hungary. This country was invaded by the Mongols under Ghengis Khan, and the population was massacred. The other extinct kingom was placed in the Northern Caucasus, near the river Kuma, and was a war-like nation. Little is known about this kingdom, but from a papal letter, we know that one of their kings was following Christian faith, and was called Jeretyàn, which means "light" in Hungarian language. Their kingdom was destroyed when Tamerlane attacked the region. After invading and decimating Persia, his army went to the North, and did the same to the Hungarians there. The ruins of their capital "Majari" are located just outside the Russian city of Budennovsk. The remaining Hungarians merged with local Iranian people, the descendants of the Alans, giving birth to the Ossetian nation.
In eRepublic, the Hungarian attack on Romania looked like the Hungarian migration, only in the reverse direction, and by chance, we ended up holding the ancient Hungarian lands. Intersting, isn't it?

پادشاهی معدوم دیگه، در قفقاز شمالی قرار داشت، در کنار رود کوما که ملتی جنگ دوست بودند. اطلاعات کمی درمورد این حکومت دردسترس هست ولی از یک نامه ی پاپی میدونیم که یکی از شاه هاشون پیرو دین مسیح بوده و جرتیان نام داشته که در زبان مجارستانی به معنی "روشنایی" میباشد. حکومت آنها وقتی خاتمه یافت که تیمور لنگ به منطقه شون حمله کرد. پس از نابود کردن و قتل عام پرشیا، ارتش او به شمال رفت و همون کار رو با مجارهای اونجا انجام داد. خرابه های پایتخت آنها به نام "مجاری" دقیقا بیرون شهر روسی بودنووسک قرار داره. مجارهای باقی مونده با مردم ایران تلیق شدن و نسل آلن ملت اوست قفقاز رو شکل دادند.
در اریپابلیک، مجارستان مانند مهاجرت مجارها به رومانی حمله کرد منتها در جهت عکس و بر حسب شانس در پایان ما کارمون رو با در اختیار گرفتن مجارستان باستان به پایان رسوندیم. جالبه، اینطور نیست؟

Hungary is a frustrated nation, a nation of nomads in early medieval history, who were the most imperialistic nation in middle europe, conquering 13 other nations around them..

sebamah: You misunderstood (probably intentionally) what this article said.
It's true that officially those lands never been part of the state of Hungary but important stages of hungarian tribes migration. Some part of our tribes remained there until Mongol invasion of Europe.
The Hungarian state was founded later (in the IX. Century) in the Carpathian Basin.

However you cannot change the fact that there were Hungarian people in both these regions, and there are still in Transylvania. That is where your frustration comes from: you cannot make history undone. Whatever you do in the future, you cannot change the past, you cannot change the fact that Transylvania was Hungarian for 1000 years, you cannot change the fact that your country exists only since 1862...
So go read your own media if you don't like the facts:)
