Sigh...this world is crap sometimes...
So, my dear friend Emy, known here as chewytaz.
Let's see what crap she's been through, shall we?
Hmmm...three years ago she learns of horrible news. Her mom is dying of cancer. She unfortunately passes away Christmas 2009. Heartbroken, she turns suicidal. You don't need to know the details. She has the scars to this day.
This is already awful enough. But it gets worse. Her cousin and uncle, both in Afghanistan, die thanks to a car bomb not even a month later. She hears the news in the middle of class, and, devastated, she runs out of class, and the school calls the cops to go after her. She resists arrest, and is tossed into juvie. Well, she's injured as well, so she spends most of her time in the hospital.
As of right now, she has a shattered left arm that will take months to heal due to her falling off a balcony. I should know, as she's told me stories of her getting shampoo in her mouth for trying to open the cap with her mouth.
I don't know if anyone else knows this, but just a few days ago, absolutely awful news. Her brothers and father go to a bar to watch a game. She stays at home to watch her soccer streams (in fact, I was with her on IRC). On the way back, her family's car is hit by a drunk driver. Her little brother dies instantly. Her father is still in a vegetative state. Her elder brother, blaming himself, commits suicide, leaving her all to herself.
Some of my very close friends here on eRep have been helping me look after her, and when I heard that she was going to move in with a friend, I thought that maybe it was for the best. At least, it's better than being alone in an empty house full of tragic memories. But of course, fate seems to hate her. The latest in a series of awful news:

Please, send her your support and show her that you care. Honestly, I can't do this by myself. She needs us, the community. Please. Show her the love that she needs right now.

If even one tenth of this is true, she deserves more than sympathy.
None of this was her fault, I recommend a very short essay by Epictetus ("The quiet mind"). After the grief, a lawyer seems to be in order to expunge all records of arrest etc. and at least let the young lady to start adult life 'clean'. She did no wrong; I never realized that leaving school was an arrestable offence, however one should not argue with any police anywhere.

So is resisting arrest. I'm willing to bet she wasn't in the right state of mind when they approached her. But, taking her into custody was the right thing to do so she didn't do anything to hurt herself. I'm fairly certain no judge would convict her.

Terrible news. Our prayers and thoughts are with Emy and her family.
My hope is that a truly skilled and gifted surgeon will be attending to Emy.
Behind all the statistics with what is going on all over the world -- militarily and otherwise -- we have to remember that real people like Emy are involved. The question is, what can be done to make her whole again?

there are no words to say to heal the person, I wish some sort of Deity gives you something back, for all this, for all the pain -.-

I wish her the very best, but did you ask her before splashing her personal life and situation over eRepublik? Many of us face tragedy in varying degrees, hers is particularly devastating and perhaps she might not want attention brought to it in a time when she needs very personal, close and undivided attention from good friends rather than well-wishers. I'm only talking from experience and will offer whatever advice or guidance I can to you in order to help her, this is not the best method albeit with the best intentions.

this is the saddest thing I have read in a long time and upsets the living hell out of me..
Family is everything and to lose them all in one sweep.. and to be left alone when the only member left kills himself? Holy hell... I could not even begin to understand the feelings she is going through.
Now to be half blind.. ugh!
Well have hope! technology is progressing super fast and you get your sight back in the years to come.
Now is when you find out who your real friends are. Lean on them and let them nurture your mental health back. it will take a long time but you will see the light at the end of the tunnel. Trust in them who trust in you until you are able to finally trust in yourself.
This news touches me deeply and I am so sorry you have to go through this.

I wish her best of luck with the upcoming eye surgery and just wanna add that she must be one strong person. And that my/our thoughts are with her!
