The Drex Chronicles

Germany has, throughout much of its history, been stuck between a rock and a hard place, so to say. On multiple occasions over the years we have been oppressed by our neighbors. Our population is much smaller and less experienced than some of our neighbors, and they have capitalized on that opportunity many times, but that could change...



With a successful baby boom we could put up a much better resistance. Our current enemies have over 60000 citizens (that's 30 times more than us, and just one country, not counting the allies that fight with them) so it is unlikely we would be able to get enough players to liberate all of Germany in one baby boom. But, we would have a far better chance of gaining back a few regions, and when the time of complete liberation arrived, we would be far more sufficiently equipped to fight. Not to mention how a larger population would help preventing things like this from happening again. When these babies mature, and become stronger, we would be able to deal out far more damage in battle than we do now, making us an important friend and ally, and a formidable opponent.



I can see a bright future for Germany, but it won't just happen by itself! We must work to achieve such success, and the work is already beginning...

For a couple of days now I have been working on a promotional video for eRepublik, and I finished it the other day, and got it uploaded to youtube not too long after. However, when I posted it on youtube I couldn't have the music I put behind it, so I made the youtube video have no sound, but I uploaded it to a different site and put a link to it on the youtube video. You can see the video here. I hope to see some results from this video over the next few days/weeks. I would greatly appreciate it if you would spread it around, if you ever find the chance to, you could also show it to some of your friends to encourage them to play as well. I do plan on making more videos in the future, I am just not sure when.

Speaking of friends, I would like to encourage everyone out there to invite at least one friend, of course invite more if you want. But don't just invite them and leave it at that. Get them to play, explain the game to them, tell them a little history (the game history can explain a lot, and get people interested in the game), show them how to get involved, be their mentors, and help them become successful in their eRepublik lives. If, for example, 300 of us invited only one friend and helped them become ACTIVE players, our community would be much better, after all, the active players are the ones who make the most difference. And then who knows, maybe they will get some of their own friends involved, it is a great way to improve our country, community, and game!

Now, a message to all of you employers out there. I have a small favor to ask of you... If a new player should take a job in your company and if he/she has low wellness, don't just fire them (I know many don't do that, but there are some out there who do, I have had it happen to me after berserking in the resistance wars). Instead, send them a friendly message explaining the importance of wellness, and how to maintain it. With that one message, you've fixed your productivity problem, and contributed to the baby boom's retention rates, many new players leave the game because they don't know how to keep their wellness up so they get fired, can't fight, and get bored and die. Explaining how to take care of their wellness is extremely important.

Next, I would like to mention a project recently started by disLex, you can read about it here. This is probably one of the best steps toward a real successful baby boom I have seen in Germany. With all of these steps/projects that I have mentioned thus far taking place, with a little hard work we should start seeing some new faces around here in not too long! If anyone can help disLex with his project, please do so and post on that topic. Thanks!

And finally, a slightly disappointing announcement... eRepublik has fallen to 10th place on galaxy-news! We officially have less votes than a game about ants!! Voting is easy, it takes just a second, and you can do it every 24 hours, there are instructions in my signature (the image) so let's get eRepublik back up toward the top of the list!

As you can all see, we can all do something to contribute to a baby boom, and the betterment of Germany. Get out there and invite some friends, teach them, vote for eRepublik on galaxy-news, contribute to disLex's project, and whatever else you can think of! Let's get going Germany, the future is ours, all we have to do is seize it!
