Only A Banist Dictatorship Can End ILP Supremacy in eIreland

My dear eIrish comrades,
In my previous article I foretold a coming revolution...a revolution that will rock the very foundations of eIrish society. That revolution will be none other than a Banist Revolution. The one question is not if eIreland will fall to Banism, but when. When one understands the Banist theory of materialist determinism they will come to the conclusion that the inevitable rupture of Banism is bound to happen soon.
My analysis of the situation in eIreland has led me to this conclusion - we have established the Revolutionary Banist Party as the leading radical opposition and alternative to ILP domination. Only the RBP offer an alternative founded on a coherent and formidable ideology. No other political party, ILP included, offers a radical alternative nor provides an ideological base to revolutionize the game. The strength of Banism exists in the people of eIreland, the players of the game, and whether you are under false consciousness or acknowledge the coming Revolution as the only solution to eIreland's problems - the fact that you may vote this article or comment below is only testament that we all embrace an aspect of Banism.
If I am elected Dictator you can be assured I will be a strong leader. I understand the limitations of power and I would seek to work cooperatively with the elected CP to fulfill the maximization of democracy within our political system, promote a strict anti-war policy by pursuing peaceful negotiations with eLithuania, and keep the CP accountable to reviving the social life of eIreland. What is perhaps more vital than recapturing our stolen lands is bringing in more players, getting old players to reinvest time into this game, and nurturing the growth of our young players. This all is strictly valued and dictated under a Banist system. Banism promotes the social aspect of the game, demands activity, and seeks to revolutionize not only eIreland but the way in which we play eRepublik entirely.
If any other party offers a more ambitious plan for eIreland, if any other Dictator candidate is promising not only to fulfill their role but work beyond it as well, if any faction or party has a solid ideological framework rooted in the scientific tradition than please state them below.
We, of the RBP, are the only radical opposition to ILP domination and to any parties who wish to dethrone them...I suggest you take some time to learn about Banism. Take a half hour of your time to read Banist doctrine and literature and you will come to the conclusion that Banism will not only end ILP supremacy but bring about a Revolution so radical Plato will probably try to outlaw it.
Banism is a new force in politics, one that will reshape the New World political arena. You can become a Banist too! Click on the link to join The Revolutionary Banist Party! Join the e-REVOLUTION!
Sincerely,
Comrade Cat

I disagree: ILP is doing a fabulous job of destroying ilp supremacy.
that's what we hired em to do 🙂
Hahaha, you made my day...
the only sound ideologies comes from continues game play over a few years. thus the only persons able to lead a country as a dictator should be a player with a fundamental and comprehensive knowledge of the game its mechanics and the particular sub strata he will lead aka eIreland . hence your unqualified as you have shown little knowledge of game mechanics with all due respect.
In fact a detrimental event took place in eIreland and you lost your biggest economic player contributing 40% of your total income. No protest was however heard from the banist party.
no protest was heard when still the issue was attacked that only 1 subpar army should get supplies from government. no protest was heard about the lack of transparency and the sharing of financials of the government.
let me just burst all of your bubbles. if you have nothing to add dont join government cause you will just mindlessly follow the people in charge. you fundamentally have nothing new to add concerning eireland or the game why should you lead when you add nothing to the discourse?
There was protest to that loss actually. It just didn't come from the presiding government.
MikeBane, the founder of Banism, I believe was alive from 2010 till early 2015. That is 5 years worth of gameplay. I think he was onto something when he created Banism. I understand the military module, the political module, I only struggle with the economic module because it seems like a giant mess. I am not claiming that Banism has any substantial financial arguments or theories. Banism does, however, offer theories for alternative ways to play the game and diverting resources towards the promotion of the social aspect of the game - hence Mike's conception of what eSocialism truly is about.
I am not unqualified, I have been playing for over 6 months, and I have not shown any ill-intent towards my homeland. You must excuse my activity the past week and a half, I was finishing my quarter at University and I am not done till April. 🙂
am done* till April
still YOU add nothing! if your mikebane we might say you add something but then again.
all your saying is gobbledygook break it down to normal words and then you will be a much better candidate even if your not really imo qualified.
you understand the military model but said nothing when the top mu was ill treated by government. how long will it take you guys to understand the basics. its about supporting a soldier that is already performing well and finding more of them and gathering future soldiers that will one day compete with him. damage should be a graph that doesnt fall much from soldier 1 to soldier 20 in your country or mu.
its a game there is no real factories there is workers there is soldiers there is wars there is a monetary market and a marketplace that sells stuff and there is products there is a congress a cp and a cabinet and a dictator. there is newspapers and pm messages and stacks and buying and selling of stacks. that is all there is that is all players are concerned with. socialism applied here will have as much effect as a bear pooping in the woods of your hometown to your own life. [slaps cat boyd[ get it together woman/man/it gas
I acknowledge the games fundamental features...and you mentioned one aspect of the game that I am addressing. eRepublik is more than just the sum of its features - it is a social game. Players keep playing mostly because they have developed friendships in the game, became tight-knit with their faction/party/MU, you can be weak or strong (free or wiped) but ultimately what is more powerful than all the pixels on our screen is the underlying social foundation which makes this game...somehow worth logging on again. It is a *different* kind of strength and through it you will obtain strong soldiers and active players, just depends if you're willing to invest in the social aspect.
Do you kind of see what I am saying?
The dictator doesn't do anything but pass laws, he or she must only be trustworthy.
The Dictator is the CP/Congress's trained monkey as trito said, they have no input into decisions, you obviously have not read the job spec sheet.
I'm kind of a game changer.
The only way you could change anything as a dictator in the current system is if you went against the current constitutional rules, (An act that would in itself show you as un-trustworthy to begin with mind you) and started bringing decisions the congress/CP didn't vote for.
Should you do that the next thing you would have to do is draft a new constitution that justifies the disregard of the old one. Doing all that alone (Note the "I'm", not "We are") would mean that you truly are acting as a totalitarian ruler, and make any thought of actual democracy completely pointless, which if I'm not mistaken would make all the speeches about "maximization of democracy" null and void.
The things that you propagate and the sentence "I'm kind of a game changer" in that context are mutually exclusive.
Only through a Banist dictatorship can we end ILP rule.
Oh come on, at least offer a rebuttal of my claims.
All you are doing right now is pointless propaganda when I gave you a wall of text ripe for a civilized debate.
Let's see then:
The current system doesn't really work from what I can see, and we can agree on that.
You were first proposing a democracy, and now you want a dictatorship (In fact you are still using the idea of 'democracy' as a backup point in your dictatorship speech). Now I understand that in eRepublik things work differently in the sense that you can have a dictator that actually works as a democratic 'voice of the people', but if you are going to assume that role you are doing pretty much exactly what the current administration is doing. They have the same system, the dictator is there only as a puppet.
From that I can only conclude that your plan would throw us 'out of the frying pan and into the fire'. You would change nothing apart from who is ruling over everyone.
Furthermore!
While I am not a big fan of ILP they currently have the majority vote (As we can clearly see from who keeps winning the elections), and that means that if you would truly listen to what your people would ask of you as a dictator in a democracy, you would do exactly what the ILP has been doing. You would change nothing apart from who gets the Dictator medal.
If my logic is faulty somewhere I implore you, please point it out.
I don't think you're understanding the ideological framework of Banism and the way I would 'rule' or 'act' as Dictator. Lesser parties would be given more voice under Banism, it would demand a proportional representation system instead of first-pas-the-post thus eliminating ILP supremacy. The Revolutionary Banist Party is the only solution to the political-military suicide of eIreland.
Now this is sounding like a start to a proper conversation!
(Hope you enjoy this as much as I do. 🙂
Now then, let me start of by saying I have read up a solid amount when it comes to both Banism and its founder, and while I agree that in some different cases it might be the right solution, I completely disagree in the notion that it would help us.
As the founder himself stated, one of (If not THE) main goals is a "Strong emphasis on public funding for universalized healthcare and a national military". Let's break that down into simpler terms shall we?
-A strong emphasis on public funding.
In order to have a 'public fund' from which you would drain money you first need to have a solid income into the government treasury. At this moment, without any lands or a decently large player base, I don't really believe the government has the capabilities to do such a thing (That is unless players themselves donate money to the government, or you find some equivalent of a world bank to get in debt with). You need money in order to give money, and until we get a solid foothold and infrastructure there just won't be enough for any serious changes.
-Funding for universalized healthcare.
I am not really sure what you mean by this one to be honest... If by healthcare you mean the nurture of new players and food distribution I will agree that it's a very valid and important point.
However, you have to get the new players to be interested first, have an easy and accessible way to learn the games mechanics, and (Here's a shocker) possibly actual land in your country that they can feel they are defending. We have no noob guides, and from personal experience VERY little new player interaction. When you think of an actual PLAN that you can put into text or on paper, your thoughts on the matter will be worth something.
As for the feeding the military thing, I believe it falls under the second "funding the national military" thing so I will post my thoughts there.

-A strong emphasis on national military
See, I have an inherent problem with this idea...
Yeah it's nice to have a 'national' military that is a nice place for every new person that joins, etc etc etc... But a centralized military, where a single MU gets all the support and funding from the government is not the optimal solution. In that MU you might have inactive players that suck up or sell the resources other players in different MUs might actually use, while those other players that do their best get completely ignored purely because they are not a part of the big club.
I'll give you my own idea on how this is remedied. (See, when there is a problem you give a solution, not just rant on how your side knows so much better and will certainly be the best choice!)
Have a person in the council or a clerk of someone working there be in charge of monitoring the scoreboards. Invent a scoring system and make a game out of it. Make it so the more damage you do, and the more you fight, you get better and better rewards.
(Example: At 10k damage you get 100Q1 food and weapons. At 20k you get 100Q2 etc etc... Obviously the values have to be tweaked, but you understand the point.)
Furthermore, give a reward to the top three. Make it so that the top three players each week have something on top the reward they would usually get. (Bonus weapons, pure resources, a favor, I don't know, we would think of something...)
Make a game out of this instead of an obligatory grind, and make it so that fighting for your country pays off, not just being in the right MU.
Furthermore, you could even have specialized MUs made of trusted people, that have special assignments (Defend eIreland, attack it's enemies, clean the dishes...) and have it so they get fixed pay for what they do.
As you might have noticed my idea requires the country to have money, so it's not really a viable strategy right now, but that brings me over to my next point.

I will reply at a later time - just a quick note: the healthcare and national military emphasis was declared back when it made sense. Since then Banism has evolved as an ideology. Will explain later. Thanks for doing some research. 🙂

In the situation in which we are currently in, a pure military push simply isn't enough to hold our territory. eLithuania has us beat when it comes to damage, manpower and income. The only way out right now is to use diplomacy to wrestle some ground back, and then build from there.
As already seen our allies might help with a few battles, but we can't rely on them to defend us forever as they have their own countries to tend to, and we can't fight them alone because we are too weak for that.
So one of the main points of Banism falls straight off.
Now, before I keep going, I want you to keep something in mind. When I am looking at it now, I like what Banism promises. Lower taxes, people screened before getting citizenship, food for the hungry and guns for the soldiers, that all sounds perfect!
But it's not a system that is currently possible for this country.
eIreland doesn't have any way to support, in manpower or money, what Banism is proposing.
Not to mention that you haven't given any solid plan or proof of what you would actually do! In my eyes all you are doing is trying to sell some mist. Give a proper solution, one that can be read and criticized, and I will gladly take this much more seriously.
Oh and one more fun fact from eRepublik wiki: "There were some conspiracy theories and claims against MikeBane, that he aided a known PTO'er and devised a plan to establish a dictatorship although these were never proven."
Just thought it's kinda funny that you are running for dictatorship now.
Will wait for your reply, hopefully I might learn something new. 🙂
Fare well for now.
I will say that your solution to allocating resources towards MU is a good one and is not specifically covered under the original works of Bane. In plain text he said a "strong national military" and I assume this meant one State-sponsored MU. It should be noted that Neo-Banism, in which is synonymous with Banism proper, moves beyond the original ideology formulated in (I wanna say) 2012-13? To reduce confusion when I say "Banism" I really mean Neo-Banism which Bane first outlined in 2014-15. Nonetheless, as his self-declared successor, I find it my duty to interpret his works and apply it to modern day eRepublik. Now I will do my best to work out your questions within a Banist lens.
You are absolutely correct that a pure military push is not enough ~ the situations *requires* a diplomatic solution as eIreland does not hold the resources capable of liberating and defending our regions and like you said we cannot count on allies to win every battle. I have stated that under a Banist dictatorship diplomacy will be the emphasized route of action ~ nearly any player but WHS could negotiate with eLith. I am unsure how WHS handled the talks, but obviously it was not well as their Prime Minister has some mean things to say about him. Banism (Neo-Banism) emphasizes the need for social solidarity, that does not simply mean solidarity among eIrishmen/women but among all eRep players. Banist thought demands peaceful solutions, military action a last resort. If I cannot emphasize something enough it is that Banism ultimately is a radical ideology which seeks to change our social relations within the game - the very way in which we play the game.
You are correct eIreland does not have the resources currently. I am not one to give out the Revolutionary Banist Party's plan of action, but without giving much detail I can tell you that our first measure would be to increase the social productivity of eIreland.
(Continued below)
(Continued)
By social productivity I mean we need to bring back old players, old tanks, nurture the growth of young soldiers, liven up the community (everyone plays a role!), and promote community activity. This does not all happen by promoting military advancement, it actually begins with enriching the social aspect of eRepublik. The Minister of Community gains more powers, more responsibility, and we offer players the chance to get involved. This requires both State and non-State solutions, meaning it is up to us outside the government to start our own initiatives. I have suggested the Dublin Commune as a counter-institution to the State, which would bring more democratic power to the hands of the people and less populated parties, and - follow me on this - the government seems to be this one little clique that administers the country every month meanwhile other players simply sit by and watch which certainly promotes inactivity. If we create a counter-institution we can create more activity, involvement, motivation, and dedication towards the liberation of eIreland. This furthers enriches the social development of our nation.
I am somewhat familiar with that story; I don't know what Bane was doing then, what his intentions were, but I do not follow the man - I adhere to the ideology in which he happened to have found. He was deeply flawed and I can see that, everyone could, but I cannot deny that he was onto something; a new way to play the game, a new way of thinking, and -this is my opinion- I think when he created the ILP he didn't imagine it would turn out like it did. I think a small clique of players twisted the ILP into a hegemonic conservative party with red paint over it. They have not proposed one radical or far-left policy since their reign began all under the guise of managerialism.
That... Actually sounds like a start of a somewhat decent plan.
While I won't be joining you (Personal reasons), I have to admit that you seem to have really thought a lot of this through.
And as annoying the word Banism is slowly getting (I mean come on friend, it's in every possible article. xD) I do see you as a future ally.
Carry on the good fight, and good luck. 🙂
