On Why eIndia Still Survives

FIRST... A WARNING!



Having been ingame on and off over the past many years (I think I originally joined in June 2009) I have seen and heard the same frustrating moan from all of us...





(No that's not the moan!)

why are we so few in number? why can we not be strong like the other nations? why do our guys not invest enough selfless time into the game like the others do?




The conclusion is always the same - a despondent - "Our eNation will die out and be suppressed. There is no hope!"

and yet ... so many years down the line, despite being wiped out countless times by much more powerful enemies (and friends) we have survived like the proverbial resilient blades of grass that we are 😃

Not only survived, but I think in the many years past, today we probably have the most number of active players around (even if the majority are two clicking in the shadows... but they still are around and contributing)

Around the same time frame, I have seen nations like Pakistan with the usual solo warlord (Abuzar/Kualkerr or Max Mcfarland or Joestar/The Dark Knight) come and prop up ePakistan to (false and temporary) heights of glory and especially in the case of the Dioists, try to emulate the original "empire" but always failing to sustain the interest and drive necessary.

So here is an interesting question... how come eIndia who has never ever conquered anything really (I do remember us once as having wiped ePakistan but then getting wiped by ePakistan probably twice or thrice? in retribution)... so yea, how does this "weak" eIndia still survive and retain its identity, while nations around it - (Thailand is not counted.. its always been a Serbian harem) ... Pakistan, China... have hardly a handful of players from their original nationality.

The reason is that despite being hated at times, ridiculed at other times, Indians have stuck to our guts and have tried to stay together. We have mostly had a community that WORKS together. We have ALWAYS had a strong patriotic flavour about our players who have almost always sacrificed their earnings for the nation. The commune has been a great example (whenever it has been on!) ... we always have the seniors AND juniors contribute money and weapons for the good of the nation without worrying about cheats.

We have also been lucky to have a superb group of non Indian origin players who have been really amazing and have selflessly worked for eIndia and continue to do so.

It is this unique blend of things which means we might not get a baby boom but slowly over time as other nations crumble and indeed the game drifts toward the finish line, India might actually get more powerful!

So do not lose faith or hope... if you have made it till this last line, then there can only be 2 conclusions...

1. There really is nothing in the media and you desperately wanted something to read (even a wall of text would do!)

2. You maybe did find the article interesting.
Either way, it did serve to fill up the newspaper void with something more substantial than the 2 lines poor ol' calvin had to put up! 😃
