Let’s get the elephant in the room out of the way first. We’ve heard a lot of opinions from many different camps about the war to retain our hat; some from regular people who just know how to enjoy this game, some from longstanding leaders in the USA, some from RL Canadians-turned-USCitizens, some from unapologetic Canadian sympathizers who openly choose to side with our current enemies.

It’s everyone’s individual choice to do what they think they have to do, but like everyone else, choices have consequences. By what you see on the battlefield, you can see where my sympathies lie. Make no mistake, DMV and I still talk, although less regularly, the dialogue is there. The war continues as before with barbs being traded across the borders as usual and the rivalry, heated as always. It’s been an overwhelmingly popular event, despite what a few would have you believe. A survey done last month by Aramec showed statistically overwhelming support for this war and it shows in our successes. Thank you America for all your support in making this a successful campaign!

Now we have a new neighbor! Our friends from Aurora have come from South America via Europe to visit us. They are a welcome addition to the region. Chile has its own agenda and its own goals in the region but we look forward to continued close ties and cooperation.

I talked a lot in my campaign articles about the changing face of diplomacy in the eworld. Some of you may have read that as just so much campaign rhetoric. Some of you may have read right over it without giving it a second thought. The fact is, I was shooting straight with you then and what was truth then is still truth now.

We are a part of one of the major alliances in the world at this time. Most countries are in some sort of broad-reaching alliance. What we are finding is that lines are not so clearly drawn along alliance lines like they once were. There has been a marked migration toward more regional stability and clustering. You can see the evidence of this in all the NAPs and Treaties around the world that transcend alliance lines.

Countries are looking more locally at their relationships and building defense there in order to secure their forces to fight more abroad. It should come as no surprise that we will be forced to do the same. What that means right now, depends on pending changes in other countries and our treatment by and of our friends and our rivals. With one of our neighbors, Mexico, effectively blocking their alliance-mate Chile from Portugal, things are likely to continue to be somewhat unpredictable. We continue to stay vigilant.

USAF has had a great couple of weeks! Their dedicated forum boards are up and running. The supply for soldiers has been made more efficient and supply levels were able to be increased while staying under budget. Booster meet-ups were a popular item while boosters were available last week. In all, USAF is becoming a solidified unit again.

The meet-up times were broadcast in the PMU thread we have in-game to try to get as many interested people as possible in on the action. I hope some, if not all of you, got the message and were able to participate. Credit USAFOC, DoD and NSC for making that happen and making a difference for the eUSA!

As many of you may have noticed, MU coordination and communication have improved greatly. With the forum functioning well, NSC has had that avenue returned to its use and the in-game thread, I feel, has been especially effective. It puts the strategies and goals of the country at the fingertips of those who want to be involved. Thanks to those who are involved there. If you would like more information regarding in-game communication, please contact Deepchill.

Shout-out to greeling for kicking ass with the DoD Orders!

Cholan, while working his usual magic in Education has, at their request, opened channels of communication with Venezeula in order to help them get their new-player communication, education and programming set up. That other nations seek out our people to help is a testament to the great work happening in our domestic departments.

Trickstir has been up to his usual high-energy, humor-filled and entertaining work in Interior. Sadly, or maybe gladly, Trickstir will be re-focusing more on RL in the coming weeks and IndexInfinity will be taking over at the helm at Interior. Index and Trickstir have been working together for some time and their combined creativity and drive have made Interior an exciting place to be. I look forward to more of the same!

Last but never least, Tyler Bubblar has done another incredible job in DHS this month. We successfully continued with our monthly ATO operations. Despite some underhanded tactics dredged from an old playbook DHS secured all parties against the PTO groups that are still shuffling around the country looking for a place to start again. The USA also participated in its first foreign ATO Operation in a long time. Thank you to the people who took foreign citizenship on behalf of our allies around the world. Gladly, the result was a resounding win for our side!

Please take a moment to consider the real life consequences of natural disasters for the families and friends of those living in Bulgaria, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Serbia. They are dealing right now with tragedy on a scale that is hard to imagine and whose effects will be felt for a long time to come. You can read more about this in rainy sunday’s paper @
