Old $hit that I Wrote ~ Top 8

History and other musings.

I have spent a bit of time over the last few days reading through back issues of my newspaper. For those who do not know me, for about two years, I wrote an article every day or two mostly related to a series call Around the World in 60 Seconds—a news series with articles covering events around the eWorld.

As I was reading through the old stories, I thought I would repost a bit of a historical highlights reel. Below are eight of the most important/influential articles/events that I covered (in no particular order). They show the best and worst of our history. Mostly they are just good memories.

1. The conquering of virgin London by eCanada’s force of will and a lot of cash.

2. The battle royal of V2, when eChina brought some friends to kick the $hit out of eSerbia, this was the largest V2 battle of the game with over 65% of players fighting in the battle at some point. Remember how many times the eRep servers crashed!

3. The day that Global alliances went to absolute $hit (and never recovered). Ever since they rotate every few months.

4. The day that 140,000 eRep citizens died all at once due to the game mechanics and the admin recognizing that they needed to kill off players that weren't actually playing.

5. The last day in the game that no battles were being fought, at a time that the war module was still being tweaked and war wasn’t the only priority of the game.

6. The dark year of eCanada, when of a couple of idiotic CPs stole from the treasury (over and over)—starting with Rolo.

7. That time I incited a revolution against Addy Lawrence due to his ties to Rolo Tahmasse and the attempted PTO by eRomanians of eCanada. Then when the treat of the PTO threat was over and I kept swinging at Addy Lawrence none-the-less (sorry about that Addy).

8. The days before Rylde was such a big deal (sans whorehouse), and folks like I rallied behind him to become the CP because he was full of greatness (or $hit).

Note: some of the photos are no longer in my old articles, as they have been scrubbed from the net. But you get the idea.

Taking a piss,
