United States Joins EDEN

The formal invitation extended to the United States by the eRepublic Defence & Economy Network (EDEN) has been accepted by the United States Congress. The President made a statement two days ago with the official announcement. The results of the vote currently reside in Congress’s Public Disclosure office here:

The final tally was 42 Congressmen in favor of joining EDEN, four opposed, and five abstaining. Due to the extreme importance of this decision, several Congressmen have published statements explaining why they were either in support of or against joining.

War Bond Repayment Complete

Serendipitous, Director of the Flying Unicorn Squadron, has announced that repayment of United States war bonds is now complete. Purchases, which helped get our nation through one of its darkest times, were refunded with 2.15% interest. Repayment began over three weeks ago and was carried out exclusively through the Flying Unicorn Squadron. Dead citizens were not paid.

Croatia Secured

Croatian sovereignty was secured on all three fronts yet again, thanks in large part to assistance by the United States. While PEACE no longer exists in name, many of its former members behave just as belligerently towards EDEN as they did at the height of the war. The three-pronged invasion of Croatia failed just as it did when PEACE was whole, and Finland is currently fighting to reclaim the last of its territories from Russia. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gaius Julius praised the American contribution to our allies after the victory.

Bihar Liberated

Iran saw their empire carved out of India and Pakistan under heavy fire yesterday, facing four resistance wars. With West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, and North-West Frontier in revolution, Emerick started a resistance war in Bihar, an Indian region long under Iranian dominion. Bihar was successfully liberated, and Emerick earned his first resistance hero trophy. The governments of India and the United States have been in communication since the resistance war, although no official defensive agreement has been brokered yet.

Update on Peru

Brazil’s conquest of Lima, Chimor, and Southern Low Amazon four days ago completed the total annexation of Peru. Yesterday, resistance wars successfully liberated Low Andes, Mid Andes, and iron-rich Great Andes, all in the Argentinean zone of occupation. Peru is back in control of the same people it was before the joint invasion by Argentina and Brazil. Argentina has just declared war on Peru again, apparently preparing to take over the Andes again.

Presidential Elections Upcoming

Presidential elections will happen on the fifth of December, Day 746 of the New World. Several political parties are currently conducting primaries or discussing who their nominee will be. The country presidency candidate list is expected to be updated several times in the next two days as parties pledge their support for a candidate. Citizens must be at least level six to vote.

Update on the Indonesian Invasion of Malaysia

While the United States and its allies were distracted with attacks on Croatia and Finland, the Indonesian offensive against Malaysia, which had been denying Malaysia the initiative and the ability to retaliate with their 26 mutual protection pacts, broke through. Indonesia was able to conquer Sabah and Peninsular Malaysia. The assault on the final Malaysian region, Sarawak, was repelled, leaving the nation and its many mutual protection pacts on the board. With no more Malaysian regions for Indonesia to attack to block, Malaysia was able to reclaim its lost territory. A replacement hospital was established in Peninsular Malaysia.

Pony Express

During major, international engagements and other trying times for our country, our enemies like to attack with propaganda and misinformation. The Pony Express helps to protect our mediaplace from deceit by preventing the enemy from reaching a spot among our top five articles. The commitment is very small and does not conflict with any branch of the military, political party, militia, or anything else. To join, visit the link below:
