PEACE "Invasion"

Yesterday, former Russian president and well-known PEACE propagandist GLaDOS issued an article in American media stating that, on June 15th, PEACE was going to invade America, destroy our 2 hospitals and march into Washington DC. Of all of the PEACE agents who infiltrate our media, GLaDOS is my favorite because he knows how to keep people wondering “what if” and he doesn’t have to insult anybody to do it. We love GLaDOS and would miss his articles and comments because he makes things interesting for everyone. Too bad he’s on the other side. We thank GLaDOS for testing our Emergency Broadcast System. In the event of an actual emergency, PEACE would not notify any local officials and would secretly launch attacks on multiple fronts as usual.

Alright, GLaDOS, you got some of our newer citizens who don’t know you too well thinking “what if” he’s telling the truth and PEACE is so overconfident that they believe they would win even if they broadcast their intentions and give their opponent a week to prepare. “What if?”

As improbable as this may be, it is our government’s job to make sure our citizens are safe so, throughout the day yesterday our brightest people ran through all of the possible scenarios. First, military: Remember when we attacked Russia last month and eUSA fought alone against 10 PEACE countries and almost won? Well, if PEACE were to attack eUSA at any time right now, they would not only face us, but would also trigger 14 MPPs (mutual protection pacts) in which those countries could all fight alongside us without having to leave their home countries. Even to initiate the attacks on eUS soil would cost a tremendous amount of gold for PEACE and we would all get to fight them for free! Is this likely? No. But all branches of your eUS military are fully prepared to bring the full force of our firepower along with our 14 allies in the unlikely event that this were to occur and we assure the public that you are safe from the possibility of any such military invasion.

Second possibility, PTO: The date GLaDOS stated was June 15th, which is party president election day. This is what will more likely be what PEACE may attempt, if anything at all. They may try to win a party president election in order to insert members of congress to run who are PEACE members. What can citizens do about this? Get to know your congressperson. Learn about the people you will be voting for in your congressional elections and vote for the person, not the party they represent. Several departments of your government are also taking steps to avert this possibility.

Citizens should be aware of who are writing articles and posting comments and, if you don’t know who the author is, ask someone! PEACE is not as strong as they would like people to think and they have very skilled authors who try to frighten the public with their statements. This wasn’t the first time they’ve done this and, as long as PEACE is around, probably will not be the last time they will attempt to deceive the public. Citizens are advised to pay attention to official statements from government officials to stay informed about what to believe and what not to. The scrabman administration assures our citizens that you are safe and have taken all necessary steps to make sure an “invasion” of eUSA is not successful. PEACE Banned

As further evidence that PEACE GC is not as strong as they would like the public to believe, they have just been temporarily banned from eRepublik! It is more of a censure for “bad behavior”. This is not permanent and they will be back, but they have sore bottoms at the moment. Let’s give them a chance to sit in the corner and put their heads down; we’ll be waiting for them to come back and play! You must agree that things wouldn’t be quite so interesting if they were PERMANENTLY banned, right? Who would we fight against? Don’t worry, folks, no need to cry…our worthy opponents will be sure to give us more fun wars before long - just hopefully they’ll behave better next time!

Department of Education Updated

Under the leadership of Tiacha, the Department of Education is alive and well again, educating our citizens about eLife and making the most of your experience. New people have been recruited to help run this department as well. Citizen Affairs

There are many programs that are available to our citizens, the majority of which do not cost any taxpayers’ dollars. Why do we do this? It is because an informed and educated citizen is a happier, more productive citizen who will benefit our entire nation. But if our citizens don’t know that these programs exist, they cannot use them. Cerb, the Secretary of Citizen Affairs, has done a great job in making these programs accessible to all who are interested. If you would like to know what your country can do for you, you are encouraged to see how citizen affairs can help you.

Primary Commission

Ananias has done some great work writing a 4-part series. In part 1, he discusses the idea of candidates selected by the people instead of by party presidents to run for congress. He also discusses pre-empting eUS political vulnerability and preventing cheaters from becoming elected against public will, which are all reasons for instituting a eNational Primary System.
