Official: USA Declares Neutrality
Harrison Richardson
For Immediate Release
U.S. Department of State
Today, Shadowukcs, Secretary-General of ATLANTIS, officially recognized the long accepted fact; ATLANTIS is dead. As such, the United States has declared official neutrality in the international scene. We will not and are not identified with any alliance and this shall remain as such for the immediate future.
The current administration is steadfast in it's beliefs that entering into a new alliance, in such a chaos-filled time, would be a mistake. The amount of disinformation flowing around is incredible. No one can accurately determine what is misinformation and what is legitimate intel. Therefore, we are choosing to remain neutral and experience a short period of military isolationism for many reasons. They encompass:
We need to refuel. If we needed to, we could certainly wage war right now. We could wage war many times over. Do not fret and think the USA is poor, because we are not. However, we always have a strategic reserve that we won't want to tap into. Therefore, to successfully fight in the future, we would ideally not use emergency funds and use other funds. To keep this process ongoing, we need to stockpile everything - mainly gold - for future battles. Again, while the USA is not poor, we're also not rich, and tapping into strategic reserves when we don't need to is a bad method of gameplay.
We feel safe. PEACE could, at any point, attack the United States. That much is true. However, on the backing of many MPP's and lots of stockpiled gold, we feel that even PEACE's cheats and exploits could not result in a major offensive versus America.
We need an alliance founded on stability. To form an alliance just because we feel we "need one to protect ourselves" (see previous point) is faulty logic and only leads to an ineffective alliance. When the international political climate is more stable, and we can begin into serious and mature discussions with like-minded nations, the United States should and will enter into alliance negotiations. Until that point, neutrality is the only route that can ensure the previous points to be fulfilled and progress to be made. To found an alliance based on an illegitimate fear of PEACE would wreak havoc and, in the end, produce much worse results than ATLANTIS did.
The United States wishes it's many allies, among them Sweden (many seem to forget Sweden's generous 1500 gold loan offer when the USA needed it most...), Spain, the UK, Canada, Croatia, and many, many other nations one thing:good luck. Ireland, while neutral like us now, has become a great ally and one we look to move forward with as bretheren.
Goodbye to ATLANTIS, hello to a new world.

Good thinking Harrison. It's better to be patient when you're provided with the ability to do so.
Interesting that we rely on our MPPs to actually be fulfilled.
hm.. isolation...sounds.. interesting ..
Which country will ally and fight for the United States if the US doesn't care about defending their allies?
When have we shown we don't care about defending our allies? Please don't bring up Germany v Sweden. It is ally versus ally. We're in a no win situation.
Not sure if i like the idea of calling out peace and saying they cant beat us on our home turf heh.
If you have two friends, and one attacks the other, stopping the aggressor is the right thing to do. Or do you beat up your friends that often?

thanks for the info!
If only it were so simple, Habraka.
I like the idea of a small alliance of closely knit states.
A smaller alliance that was more tight knit would be a better alliance. I think the U.S./Canada/ and the U.K. would be a good base for such an alliance.
dont forget spain!
seriously anything could happen, don't get too comfortable.
This is not isolation, just neutrality. With the geopolitical landscape changing so dramatically, a rash rush to join an alliance will only cause us trouble in the future. I applaud this move.
"The amount of disinformation flowing around is incredible. No one can accurately determine what is misinformation and what is legitimate intel."
And who knows if this is indeed true; or disinformation, propaganda or deception.
In my opinion, it is highly unusual that regarding the most change in American foreign policy direction in a long time, that the President is silent. If this is indeed the new foreign policy direction of the United States, then your president, Scrabman, should post a comment here acknowledging that this is true. Until then, I and many others, fear that Scrabman may have been victim of a coup d'état.
What about the war games?
No war games.
Fight for Germany against the Sweedes!
My view on this conflict:

There is wisdom in this. We were involved in an alliance of different mindsets not similar to our own and we must do better to have a stronger one in the future; one that isn't based on PEACE, but is based on mutual interests.
Voted.
"To form an alliance just because we feel we "need one to protect ourselves" (see previous point) is faulty logic and only leads to an ineffective alliance."
Glad to see the old PEACE paranoia is finally losing its grip on the eUSA. Now you can start thinking and acting rationally.
@Knojerakk, I'd like to assure you that in the wake of ATLANTIS's dissolution PEACE has much more important issues to tend to than trying to invade a strong 50 (!!!) region nation which doesn't pose an immediate threat to PEACE members (with both Mexico and Russia having multiple MPP's activated you're hardly a threat to either one).
Stop listening to your fears and emotions, think logically. This is what I've started to like scrabman for - this is the first ePOTUS during the last months who seems to be thinking more about the country's interests than about his ego and popularity.
@Harrison Richardson - I hope you don't plan to refuel for another massive waste of gold on tanking. Simple game arithmetic shows that mass armies equipped with Q1 weapons are many times more cost-efficient than small "elite" tank units (like the marines), and therefore much more likely to bring victory in a long-drawn war.
Of course mass armies pose huge problems with supply, command and control, and that's why many countries end up resorting to the convenient arrangement of a small number of tanks who are always on call and don't need much supervision, but whoever manages to create an adequately-funded and led mass military will be the undisputed master of the eBattlefields.
Citizen B: I work for the President and am a member of his cabinet. My views represent his views. Read his most recent article.
Very sound policy for these times.
We need to form a small, but very effective alliance that can be trusted, to avoid things like the Germany v. Sweden conflict and so that we know for sure that we will have the strength we need to be a force to be reckoned with in this eWorld.
Now is a time to be cautious, not to make rash decisions.
Voted.
I support your logic, however, I wouldn't wait too long to form a new global alliance. The moment the world is politcally stable we need to start moving forward; PEACE will be all over us
Lol, you heavy underestimate Peace's capacity of producing Q5 weapons and thousands of gold. If Peace attacks you for 24 hours you will only see 200+ damages each second coming one after another from their side.
Even if you have 30 000 gold stockpiled and 5000 Q5 weapons you have absolutely no chance against infinite gold and infinite weapons.
"We feel safe. PEACE could, at any point, attack the United States. That much is true. However, on the backing of many MPP's and lots of stockpiled gold, we feel that even PEACE's cheats and exploits could not result in a major offensive versus America."
So diplomatic...
PEACE will not attack USA, you don't have any good resource. You feel that USA is important for the world, but is not.
Fred@ Cry loser.
A TALKING ORG!!!
Why you don't create a alliance with a name as "Paranoia";"Please PEACE don't hurt us";"We attack a PEACE country, but PEACE still are the bad guys";
I dont think being neutral is a good idea, we do have to pick our friends in this time wisely, and when we pick those friends we must keep them close, the USA has lived alot in the real world in isolation but we only grew as a country once we decided to fight for what was right. Alliances are key.
Let the truth be known

Kill a swede in memory of Atlantis
eUSA you can fight from home and put these children in time out, and gain wellness and xp in the process.
Well spoken Harrison. Keep up the good job and please formulate an alliance that is stable and active. No dead weight.
I second this emotion.
Wait too long and potential allies may not be found. Not to mention, the eUS is proving that they don't honor their MPP's, so why would another nation defend us if the need arose?
Neutrality was overturned by Congress
Captain Mullet SCOFFS at Neutrality!
I think that the move to not to be in an alliance at this time is
prudent but this should free up USA to help Germany fight Poland and
Hungary and Sweden.
Neutrality cannot be overturned by Congress, Emperor Rick. It is under the purview of the Commander in Chief and the Executive Branch.
Tyler - We honor all of our MPP's. That includes a contract we signed saying, if Germany v Sweden happened, we'd be neutral.
> that even PEACE's cheats and exploits
You're not making friends there with continuous blind accusations. Your gold, MPPs and also the fact that the admins gave you a 50 regions plus the lack of any reason to invade the eUSA is quite enough.
>"To found an alliance based on an illegitimate fear of PEACE"
Good point of view, as it is indeed illegitimate. PEACE had a good reason to emerge, due to a legitimate fear of Atlantis at that time.
> 1500 gold loan
It wasn't 1000? 😛
(oh and "wishes it's many allies"
