No more up-to-date auto updated Worldmap

Hello to all eRepublik Citizens,
bad news for those of you using my World Map (http://www.eGobba.de)! In fact bad, news for those of you using pretty much any tool outside of eRepublik! (i.a. http://ereptools.pl/)
Yesterday a statement was released that all crawlers on eRepublik will lead to a ban.

Because of this reason and the fact that there is no API for what I need yet, I can no longer update the World Map automatically.
I can understand this drastic move from the developers and I can assure you all, I was not the cause of the daily morning lags. Which have been very annoying to us all!!! The scripts I wrote were executed manually when the site was in a stable condition. On a daily basis I checked every country page (50-60 pages) and once a week I checked every region.
I sure hope that the developers are now working of expanding the feeds they supply through the api, as that is the only way to automate the map again!
This is also a plea to please implement the proposed feature list!

PS.:
This does not mean that I'll take the map down, but it will no longer be up-to-date if the feeds are not implemented! That is not auto-updated but rather updated by hand!

Well I think we could see that this was coming. The site has lagged quite a bit in the past few days. Too unfortunate though. My eLife will get so much harder now on.
Im sad... If the programmers can NOT make a map what WORKS, why ban a guy, who makes it INSTEAD??? Incompetency has no limits...

Because Gobba's map is working and IS free 😉. That's why they don't want to work anymore...

It's just unreasonable. Make the high traffic ones ban or make a request limit/day. I use gobba's map regulalry. WHY? Because the games map is not good. It's usually outdated, and there are no region names. Not to mention all the other useful stuff gobba's map contains.
The admins solution is not good, think it again. There are a lot of good suggestions. I am not completely against zero tolerance, heck, I would pay for those tools if you could provide them. But just taking away those useful tools is not good.

Wow you're banning ppl who are actually useful. Everything "offical" on this site blows compared to the work a few good citizen do on their own time for free! This is why ppl quit. I like this game, I'm addicted to it for some reason. But I swear admin, if you do something like this again, that'll be the last straw!

I thought that you did that with the API..
Now I understand, because I looked over the API and there are no functions to retrieve information about the countries.
I know why admins did this thing, and it's a good thing, but they should make that info available through the API.
Thanks Gobba for your awesome maps. Admins are cruel, capricious and terrible gods in this world.
This is an outrage!
An issue Atlantis and Peace are agree on: this is crazy.
The admins should contract with Gobba to incorporate his splendid map instead of the BS map of the system with HUGE delay and without region info.
I'm quite sad. And thank you very much Gobba, to show the eWorld that the mapping problem can be indeed solved.

Thanks, admins. Without Gobba's map, and Ereptools, I won't know what the hell is going on in this game.
I assume that with these bans the admins will start updating the maps more than once every three months?
Looking at the official eRepublik map is like looking at a world atlas from 1848.
If you take out ereptools you'd better put something equivelant ingame.

Citizens of the New World, unite! We had a great map, and lost it. Now it's time to get it back !!! Make petitions to the admins, do whatever you think is best, just show the admins that we are united, we care, and we want Gobba's map back !
🙂. Now on a more earthly tone : A shame that they took that down, no matter what reason they had. And by the look of things, the map won't be back for a looong, looooong time.
