No. 10 - Demographic statistics
Hello
This is tenth article in my newspaper, Croatia Today, first completely in English. I would like to apologize in advance for my bad English.
As you can see in title, demographic statistisc is a subject of this article. I collected data about new players in eRepublik in last seven days. I used ereptools.net for this research.
As you can see, cheating is a great problem in eRepublik. Multi-accounts are born every day. Admin can't stop it, cheaters are smart. I would like to take this opportunity to call Admin for more arrangment about this issue. Please ban all cheaters, no matter if they are in EDEN, FORTIS or in PEACE . They all are just CHEATERS.
I collected data in last seven days, and I made GoogleSheet about it. There is a link.
Here you can see number of new players registered in eRepublik (Whole table is in GoogleSheet link)
Also, there is difference beetween day 659 and 665 in total number of citiziens (Table is in GoogleSheet too)
Most new players in last seven days
Most banned players - Hall of shame!
As you can see, the most banned players is from PEACE countries (France, Russia, Hungary and Indonesia), they are in total minus of 10.000 people in last week!
I'll continue with collecting data about this issue, and report you next week. I hope that Admin will do their job!
How to conclude which country has more cheaters?
That's easy! I found an interesting way to conclude how many active players there is in each countries (NOT active multies)! That's really easy, you should just check number of newspapers in each country.

I don't think that cheaters will create a newspaper with their multi-accounts! But one out of two normal players will make his own newspapers.

Most of so called "banned" players are players that lived in occupied territories that now belong to original owners. And in France they are dead babies that created acc and never played again

I don't really agree with the 2-to-1 ratio between real citizens and newspapers! I think it's more like 3-to-1, but nevertheless, as you pointed out, this is a great way to approximate the real population of a country and as well as the active population!
The best way to "detect" how many *players* and no eLifes are in each country is to check each (or one out of x) player's experience increase (1 for food, 1 for fight, 1 for work etc.) . User Nikodem_73 did something like that in Poland at president election day, to calculate how many undead citizens (nicely called "Aragorn's Army" ) were used just in elections. Sure, it's really time and CPU consuming to get data for EVERY player in the country (Nikodem said that it took him 20 minutes) everyday, but I believe that is the best way to get most accurate numbers.
Oh, and I disagree that half of citizens own a newspaper

I dont have newspapers and I'm active. Also France downfall in population is yust because babies are dead now. USA had like two sweep outs in population by now.

Good article it shows that Serbia advance fast even if their population in RL is only 7 million they can match "big countries" also Serbia is not in the hall of the shame, and it is the fastest growing member of PEACE! Lot of active players good, jobs, low taxes, and there is also good program and tutorial for new players so we can keep them in game, in few months there will be a lot of strong players in Serbia!

This article is rubbish. There is no connection between demography changes and baned characters. In France most of the so called "baned" characters are characters which were created, but not fed, because their owners didn't like this game and leave it, so they died, and dead characters were deleted. In the other hand, if you were right, and these were all baned characters, how do you know how many new players joined the game, e. g. USA's population increased with 1643, it could mean 3000 deleted, and 4643 new players too.
And there is no connection between the number of active players and the number of newspapers. If you want to find out how many active players are there, look at their wellness. There are fine websites with such statistics, taken with Erepublik API.

@deviator001 - I guess by this logic it makes you 50% multi . I agree with you though - countries and citizens have different philosophies as to newspaper development. Zoli posted an article awhile ago bragging about the low number of Hungarian newspapers as a result of a sort of "publishing house" dynamic, where a few citizens publish on behalf of many more - this metric would unjustly hurt Hungary and any other countries using this dynamic if it is true. I like Sith Empire Inc's idea myself.

France loss is due to:
- the amount of Spanish people based in France to fight in RWs, that came back to their country
- the amount of eBabies that played 10 minutes and decided that eRepublik wasn't the good game for them, and so died.
Stats are good, analysis is worthless.
