Sunrise is such a peaceful time. It always shows that glimmer of hope. It shows what that day could bring, could mean, and removes all doubt of the lack of understanding around us. Sunrise signifies the utter hope that we, as Humans are all born with, and gives us that feeling of accomplishment we so greatly desire.

In my time in Erepublik, I've learned many things.

For instance, education has always been a better vehicle for accomplishment than care taking. By taking care of someone, providing them food or gifts, or however it may be, we only further serve to hinder those people later on in life. Through education, however, we empower them with their own voice once they learn the basics of our New World.

It is with this main goal in mind that I have started the Newb Militia. We are not a military group at all, and require no nationality, training, or other commitments. We are just a group of people who desire to learn more about how Erepublik works, and how we can improve our society overall.

We will offer classes and sessions based on the following topics:

1. Erepublik Introduction: What can I do on My first day?

This class is available to all beginners. The curriculum is complete (all through published googledoc), which we will then do class sessions each Wednesday night.

2. Basic Economic Class

This will cover the basic functions of how things such as the Monetary Market, Company process, taxation, and overall working is done. Classes will be held Thursday nights. Curriculum is 90% complete.

3. Wellness Guides: How do I raise my wellness?

This is a basic wellness class, which will cover how to raise wellness through both economic means (food, housing), and military (fighting in available battles). This guide will also cover the affect your overall wellness has on your employer and your ability to produce things. Classes currently slated for Tuesday nights, but will not start until the following week.

4. Advanced Erepublik Economic Theory: Global Economic Application

This class will cover more advanced theory surrounding Government regulation, controls, and overall management of economic stimulus. This will be a two part class, combining the second subject, which will be Government Management Application, which is scheduled for Monday.

5. Goverment Organization and Control: How does my Government affect me, and how should it?

This class will involve basic Government set up, and how the actions of each individual function affects its citizens. This class is going to be more advanced, so only students who have taken and passed the previous three basics classes are going to be accepted.

Course Management

These courses will be available to all who wish to attend. There is a very small fee involved, of 2 units of local currency (any currency accepted, regardless of value). I've seen National College Programs which charge close to 20-40 depending on class type, and considering you receive 5 units of currency when you sign up, this should be no big deal.

Anyone wishing to help out and meet young citizens in the process are more than welcome. I would like to communicate that these classes will not affiliate themselves in any way towards any other program, nor will they affiliate to any country, Nationality, or Alliance. The sole aim of these are to educate people on how to be successful in Erepublik, by first learning the basics then moving on from there.

The Classes on Wednesday, and Friday this week are to be held at 1800 Erepublik time. There will be no Thursday class, however, the other classes are slated to start at 1800 Each night, starting normal hours Monday, May 18th, 2009.
