New system
Have to say, I'm not really a fan of the new war module. It can be slow, and boring, and if your computer is prone to crashes, it can leave you in a bad position. Also, the hospital system seems to be gone, requiring one to spend gold to heal up for work the next day. Unless I'm just not seeing it. Anyhow, that's all that's on my mind today. The hospital system isn't gone, it's just that we're unable to deploy hospitals via bugs. I like the new war module, if it was working 100%, it allows for a much more active enjoyment of the game, requires more organization and skill.
I suppose if you're someone who enjoyed the "2 clicking" aspects of erepublik, it probably won't be your cup of tea, but I think it's a big step up from clicking fight 5 times.
It sucks, indeed.
It's just completely different. With the old system everyone could contribute with a minimum of time investment. The new system however is a lot more involved. If you have the time to spare and can be there to coordinate with other military personnel, it's kind of fun. It's just such a huge shift from the old system you may as well say it's an entirely different game.
The bugs are a huge problem tho. But bugs are bugs and they aren't what define the new system.
I found it impossible to win battles with any affordable weapon. Losing a battle resets ones Wellness to 20 so, without Hospitals, we effectively are sunk for the day. At least Wellness reverts to 70 the day after.
I hope that once Hospitals work again it will once more be possible for civilians to aid the fight.
I like the idea of the new military module, but I'm unhappy with the execution of it. If turn lengths can be shortened and the hospital fixed that will do a lot to change my opinion.
