New Player FAQ

Day 1,275, 16:03 Published in USA USA by Department of Citizen Affairs

You asked for the idea, you asked the questions. The Dept. of Education is happy to present the new player FAQ, built by you for you. If you have a question that remains unanswered after this, feel free to message us and we will answer you ASAP.

Q. When is it OK to fight?
A. You can fight as soon as the game lets you, but make sure you can afford the food you need to get back to full health. It's easy to get trapped with no money and no health in this game. If you wind up in that very situation, this next question may help you.

Q. I can’t keep my health up! / Is it ever okay to skip a day of working or training to save health?
A. No, you should do those activities every day unless you break both of your legs and can’t get to a computer. New players can profit from free food daily from both Meals on Wheels and Bewbs4Newbs. You can also periodically get some stuff from Arm America, and can get free food on demand from the United States Armed Forces after enlistment.

Q. What are missions and are they worth it?
Missions are a good way to get things that are slow to gain otherwise, like strength and rank points. Many missions will come up before you're ready for them, however. Don't break your back trying to finish them, only try to complete them when you know you can recover from the effort. Also, do not click the unlock buttons, unlock means pay the gold fee to finish the objective without doing it.

Q. What level should we begin using training boosters?
A. You definitely shouldn't buy any gold boosters until you're well versed in the game and are absolutely sure you can finance them yourself or have someone pay for them for you. If you begin buying gold or are high up in the working world (some jobs pay up to half a gold a day, and companies can be quite profitable), you can pay for training boosters yourself. Don’t burn your first gold coins on it though.

Q. Where is the USA in the world?
A. We are a founding member of an alliance between a group of global superpowers called TERRA, our allies being Canada, Japan, Brazil, and Argentina, France, Germany, Russia and Portugal. We are on amicable terms with many members of an alliance called EDEN, including Australia, China, Croatia, Greece, and Romania. Primary enemies of ours include Serbia, Spain, Poland, and other members of NWO. You can see our full list of alliances and enemies here, read about our superalliance here, or about our enemies here.

Q. What is an INCI?
INCI is a group of Turkish gamers coming from a site called incisozluk, which is like a Turkish version of 4chan. INCI makes it’s home in America and Cyprus, and are good allies of the U.S. government politically, economically, and militarily.

Q. What are MPPs?
A. MPPs is an ancient term for an in-game alliance, they're short for Mutual Protection Pact (which you can still see on a law vote proposing one). When you're in a battle and you look at someone's allies list (the blue "i" under their country name), that is the list of their MPPs.

Q. What should I do in resistance wars?
A. An easy rule of thumb to go by is to fight for the defense on ours or our friends territories, and for the resistance on foreign soil. However, there are circumstances where we need to fight for the opposite side strategically. Always trust the Dept. of Defense Orders and nothing else.

Q. What is Dioism/a Dioist/Dio?
A. Dio Brando is an ancient player who made an eReligion with his friends when they first came to the game from 4chan. Dioism is the name of that eReligion, and Dioists are the supporters of it. Dioism was declared the national religion of the eUSA by then-President Woxan, but participation today is naturally voluntary. You can read what Dioism is about on the eRepublik Wiki.

Q. Where can I find a list of American citizens?
A. Use this link: http://www.erepublik.com/en/rankings/citizens/country/1/24
Residents will appear, you can't sort by citizenship. You can also break it down to state constituencies.

Q. How can I vote?
A. Use this link on an election day. The 5th of every month for presidential elections, 15th for party president elections, and 25th for congressional elections.

Q. How can I access the party list when I'm in one?
A. Use this link: http://www.erepublik.com/en/rankings/parties/1/24

Q. Should I start a party?
A. No. The USA needs over 200 blockers every congressional election because we need to have a candidate in every state for every top 5 party. If an enemy created a party and got into the top 5, they could run over 50 hostile candidates simultaenously. You should use your membership to strengthen a top 5 party.

Q. I don't like these parties. I really want to make my own.
A. A better idea is to sign up on the forums, get active in a top 5 one, and work your way into the party's team. You might find over time that they're alright people, and if not, you can change your membership or work to change the things you don't like.

Q. Should I donate to a party?
A. No. All party funds, due to game mechanics, can only be used for advertising, which has been removed (flawless mechanic, it is). Ask your party president where your donations can be better used.

Q. I have a question that wasn't included here, what do I do now?
A. Send a message to our organization or the Secretary, Blank Keating, and your question will be answered and maybe featured anonymously in a new issue!
