New Congressmen Under Fire For Proposals

Day 377, 02:45 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by wazcaster

Newer congressmen have recently been under fire by senior Commons officials for not following correct procedures. This comes after several proposals were brought before congress without any prior consultation with the House.

Several new policies have been rejected, including proposals for an increase in the new citizen fee, increases in the minimum wage and changes to the tax on grain. Congressmen Thr33 and Zdrw, elected at the recent, and shambolic, congressional elections have both proposed increases to the new citizen fee, despite a consensus among MPs that the current new citizen fee was acceptable.

Thr33 has also proposed a tax change in grain, down to 50% import duties from the 99% rate which is currently in place, with his policies on the economy having been harshly criticised. This proposal was rejected 27-2, primarily due to the lack of formal procedure.

These proposals, almong with a Lord Kinnersly porpoosal to increase the minimum wage, have all been decisively rejected. Senior MPs have become frustrated by the lack of proper procedure, with TUP party leader and Prime Ministerial candidate Squiddy saying simply 'Curse these inexperienced congressmen'.

With more proposals likely to be rejected, more senior figures have urged newer Congressmen to become part of the House of Commons and use the proper procedure, so that their ideas are not wasted.
