Fully agreed with you, this is doomed to fail. I have tried to explain with arguments in congress but government people just ignore facts because they want this training war. Don't expect me to help with this TW because I am not going to waste my damage and Q7's.

Well, as both nations belong to the highly praised NSPP this can only be a TW right?
Given our history with TW's I'm curious though who's nations Congress will be harmed this time and which people are thinking about keeping the regions occupied.

That said; I'll await the official statement of our gov and the no doubt military strategy discussions one can expect to start soon. Up until now Commanders haven't heard anything. One could say it's early morning, but a TW is of course something you discuss upfront so I would have expected that to have taken place BEFORE the NE. At least in my book, but that book seems on several occasions to be different from other players books.

For now I agree with FtA and won't use much extra resources.

Government has been quite inactive and not very communicative even in congress and we have a CP who's *NEVER* on irc. IRC is good for coordinating these things during a war but I guess the CP is letting the MoD and his staff do all the work.

Well, I have to disagree on IRC being the just medium for a thorough discussion. A quick one is possible but an extensive one you'll soon be unable to follow if you're not there every second. History will be lost and statement intermix way to much.
Making plans means using other means. Write it down for instance and let people review matters.

MoD does not (really) communicate with the staff for at least 9 months now so I'm sorry to say on that you're wrong. Tactical discussions with the core off our military (being commanders as a MoD changes often and does not necessarily have the right knowledge about military aspects) has not been done (with a few exceptions). Even more; Some CP's or advisers bluntly stated Commanders (well at least the ones that asked questions) needed to shut up and just follow orders and the discussion thread we always had is not really used anymore. That will never work unless you have a staff with a max IQ of 70 or so. I'm happy to report we don't...

You are very wrong though. We know your dislike of IRC but there is a reason it is used even for thorough discussions even on the alliance level. And saying that if you miss a second you will be unable to follow is nonsense. you can read back what is said. Using other means and reviewing is too slow sometimes things have to be decided and decided instantly and that is why a CP should be on irc.

And CP's saying that commanders should just shut up and listen are technically right. This isn't a democracy, the CP is democratically elected and he is commander and chief of the country and with the MoD (with approval of congress) decide what the military does. MU Co's do not have a say and should not have a say in this.

IRC conversations can be saved and shared on the forum afterwards if needed. it is the easiest way to talk other than a face to face meeting.

I agree MoD structure leaves to be desired, but we have an imo faulty setup. DAF = handing out supplies, directing (=setting) orders. MoD = budget, tactics (and communicating it to DAF), CO's

There is a reason why in RL irc is no way near a means to discuss matters. Just like there is a reason there is a chairman an secretary when it are face to face discussions about important stuff. And we've had several occasions already where IRC discussions have lead to fierce discussions afterwards as matters were interpreted differently, people misunderstood, didn't recall or took it out of context. That can, at least partly, be prevented by using (commander) chat or forum but the latter isn't visited by several people (anymore)
Technically you can safe that kind of discussions. Legally its forbidden by RL laws.

And yes a CP will technically be in its right. No CP or MoD however will ever act like that in RL. If you want that start playing a God-game where you can decide all by yourself. In RL ànd imo in the command structure within eRep that doesn't work.

If the eBE votes this thing up, and it turns out our MoD/CP gave them green light, it is time for some motions.

Problem is, if we impeach our CP we won't have a CP anymore.

So I'm not sure which version is right. We could send in a ticket to ask the admins about the details of the game mechanics?
Or we could just do the experiment ourselves if it comes to impeachment. Not having a CP is not a very big issue. Congress can pass most laws (although there are a few exceptions).

But I remember one month when all candidates was impached at croatia and last month cp become new CP but congress could not propose impach anymore that month. It was few years ago..

Seems that has changed, current game mechanics says you we won't have any CP with proof being Slovakia

Starting a training war now, just a week before congress elections is a bad idea. It will most likely cost one of our countries congress seats. Starting it just after the congress elections (or during those elections) is much safer.

Ah, Belgium wants to lose their regions. But that's something they most definitely should communicate VERY clearly to their MPPs.
Otherwise this war will end another way...

And if true; That needs to be communicated very clearly in our MU's as well so people can prepare.

The TW proposal was downvoted in NL congress. It is not a TW and I will see to it that whatever their aim is they will not make it. Wiped for congress? They better pay our expenses or they will receive freedom like fuckin Wallace innit.

Maybe only the fact that the war is a TW or another kind of War is starting talking about it in public, but the fact an ally is proposing a law to NE us, is just public info and it's good AndreasIsaksson talked about this.

I'm sorry? The article itself only contains information that is available in-game. Well, plus the added notion that this is probably supposed to be a training war. Otherwise, by accepting this law, Belgium would be kicked out of NSPP, so I find that a reasonable guess.

If Belgium wants to be wiped, eNL should be the first to declare a NE. So that our shield won't be harmed by the operation.

I believe AndreasIsaksson is under the impression that this is a real war, not just a training war. And with the information that the government has given us (nothing) I'm inclined to agree that this cannot possibly be a training war.

You cannot be provide with Top Secret NSPP info, before it will start to work. This isnt our gov plan, but whole pact with UKs and Germany govs. We are doing this to prevent outflow of important info.

It is possible to give citizens information about an upcoming vote on NE'ing us from Belgium without giving the exact secret information why and how. Now we have to notice this ourselves first ingame before we are informed by the gov.

Well SpirTus, clearly you cannot blame us, for NE putted by pTOer in Belgium. We didnt want this to make this way, but now as it is on, we need to use it for our side.

If it is an illegal vote, the Belgians should most definitely vote it down. So far it looks like it is a completely planned law, because almost everyone voted "Yes".

I'm not blaming you for NE putted by Belgium, but for the lack of information about this. Even if it isn't planned, at least the commanders and even the citizens should know there is something going on and you have the situation under control. That will be much more helping than keeping information for us and we have to finding these things out by ourselves.

It causes much less commotion if we were informed forehanded. I think this is not something to blame you personally, but it is really hard to connect people who know everything with people who don't know anything. People who know everything should keep in mind that not everyone knows everything.

A few days ago i launched a fun proposal in the feeds where edutch cp replied on he was intrested in a tw so i presented it to our congress...
we debated and some hesitated and for a few days it got quit about it so the dutch cp could present it, then we received signals it was presented and there were positve reactions so we started an internal vote in our congressmail which got approved by everyone who voted so we started the ne after another 24 houres...

How long do you guys need to communicate?
evladmir and the dutch cp both agreed its a tw so we'll ensure we both have congress and help liberate each other if needed, in the meanwhile we have fun...

Very long I'm afraid Kanselier; Our CP has said nothing yet to our military forces. Perhaps it's communicated within gov between ministers but I wouldn't know that and personally I doubt it.

Lets hope we have fun and better coordination than we had the last couple of times we had a war.

The info that we will provide you soon is secret at least for some hours from now... Commanders have been informed whats happening.
