Day 1,507, 06:59 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by eUK Home Office

Morning Campers!

Woldy & Karacticus : Summer 2010

We at the NNA are back to announce this months winners of our Award prizes, who will each receive not only bragging rights, but a snappy 500 GBP each. Those who missed our last article, may need to be reminded of this months categories. We ha😛

And, this month we were pleased to receive a large number of nominations, the entire list has been available to viewing by the general public here.

We (the glorious NNA judging panel) have selected a runner up and winner for each category and would like to pre-emptively congratulate all the nominees as well as winners. After all, a country without a thriving media is but a shell, so we at the NNA would like to commend each and every publisher and we hope that one day your name will be plastered over one of our award articles.

Before announcing the winners, lets take a look back at what some of our past winners have been getting up to...

Blast from the past

As we’re publishing this on the day of the elections which decide who our friendly despot of the month will indeed be, we thought it fitting to bring your attention to this old thing written by our dearly departed, much lamented and sorely missed former editor, Horice Granville Fossil.
This was taken from the NNA roundup published on day 956, click here to reflect on times gone by and mourn the departed.

The Awards

And now to announce the winners of our prestigious prize.

Firstly, the runner up for the ‘most festive’ category was: Prof. Jerry Moriarty for The Adventures of Sir Isaac.
We always enjoy the use of imagery and love the crimbo feel of this article, all be it a teeny weeny bit short
And the winner is: Mr Woldy for The King’s Speech.
What a christmassy audio-visual delight this was, well deserving of a yuletide log.

The runner up in the ‘best royalist propaganda’ category was: Veruvia for It’s not what you know, it’s who!
Inclusion of the King in this article was said to highly flatter his majesty.

And the winner is: Sir Ravi for A chat with his majesty the one and only Woldy.
What better way to big up an ego by getting him to do the talking for you! We enjoyed this interview by resident new guy, Sir Ravi.

The runner up for the ‘best troll article’ award was: Mr Woldy for The Diary of a Francophile.
You can’t help but laugh at the French.

And the winner is: Bob Boblo for Bob Boblo for UKPP party president - Let us be Winners.
It seems Bob really ruffled some feathers in his PP bid this month, and his articles make for good reading should you like riled Narwhals!

The runner up (is that better or worse?) of the ‘worst article’ award was: Emperor Richardum Cranium for It just doesn’t get any better.
We in the media team always like SHOUTING, and in my day the comments of this article would read something like ‘Cool story, bro.’ All we can say is - it does get better. But at least you’re enthusiastic!

And the weiner is: Bob Boblo for Bob Boblo for president, a manifesto.
Although we liked his PP bid, his CP bid was less impressive. Even more so after receiving the cake.

The runner up for the ‘best serious/political article’ award goes to: Mr Woldy for eRepublik’s forgotten Module.
Self proclaimed media man gives his insights on the module we all so adore.

And the winner is: Dan Moir for Why food is still the best Weapon.
I like food. I need food. I can fight with food? Great! Dan here explains how food > weapons.

The runner up for the ‘best series’ award was: Veruvia for his regular interviews.
Although not necessarily presented as a ‘series’ Veruvia’s regular interviews are well worth checking out.

And the winner is: Jimbojoy for The top 50 most influential eUK’ers.
In these articles Jimbojoy had us all greatly anticipating who would make the list of who was in and out this month, and we all want to know who is #1!(Karacticus clearly)

The runner up for best paper award goes to: Ieuan Keers for The Economist
As always a paper that at the very least includes well written words, you may not agree with said words, but they are always of the highest quality. Long may it continue

And the winner is: Mr Woldy (fix) for The People’s Gazette
I know, but when you only nominate two papers... Having sat on his royal rump for a month or so it is nice to see the old fruit churning out “top quality journalistic gold” (his words not mine).

Last but not least, the runner of up of the newbie prize was: Maestro Matt for We Stand United.
A highly quality article from a new player - who would have thought it!

And the winner is: Atlanta Boy9 for The Church of Sacraments.
Both regular and informative - exactly the kind of paper we want in the media!

We in the media team have also decided to mention Invalidation’s ‘Through the Looking glass’ as the best and most effective use of caricature.

Alice looking as beautiful as ever...

We would also like to again mention Bob Boblo, to both commend his long running series, The Boblo Awards and to point out that his most recent article concerning the forums is the wrongest article ever 😉

Mr Boblo on the campaign trail

Congratulations to all of our winners, and indeed, all of our nominees!

Keep your eye out for next months NNA Awards, and most of all remember to Keep Writing!
