My Humble Thoughts
Wilpanzer
It is indeed disheartening to see that quarrels have such a negative effect on our community. Other than the immediate result of people leaving the community, we are baffled by a shock wave of bitterness. This bitterness leaves some wounds almost impossible to heal.
What we need to realize today is that our community has taken a big beating. I am not only talking about the quarrels in the past week, I am talking about an overall decline in the effectiveness of our cabinet and congress.
Congress
Congress has been the talk of pessimism for years. Every term a mere 5-10% of the elected congress contributes in terms of creating and commenting in threads.
What this means is that our ability to defend our country against PTO'ers is crippled.
I want to applaud Al Kazar for inspiring activity. It takes a man of courage and perseverance to take on congress' pains. It is also notable to applaud all those who have tried to keep their comments humane and respectful, without those people our congress would have
Cabinet
Here is one of my main concerns. eSA's cabinet has always kept to medium-high standards. We've seen terms of low activity, but cabinet has for the most part remained active and contributing.
It is hard to criticize without sounding too judging, and one also wants to inspire rebuilding efforts, so I want to say the following:
We need to essentially simplify certain parts of our cabinet.
- MoDA
I have stated this many times. MoDA is too complicated. We need to get the department of births and immigration out of there. DoBI belongs to MoS.
We have too many departments in MoDA. We need University, Culture, Community Development and Info. Let's try to avoid redundancies.
- MoS
We're slowly losing people in MoS. As you all know, Li left our forums, and Alfredo left us in-game and so it is vital that we get experienced people in MoS. We need to be vigilant. We have no roll call in cabinet and so it's really easy for multis and PTO'ers to slip by when no one is watching.
University
A very underrated entity of our cabinet is the university. We've begun thinking of ways to make it useful and one plausible solution could entail enrolling "students". Some aspects of departments and ministries may be unclear, it could therefore be useful to have a 1-2 week training program for interns in ministries to learn the ropes of the relevant ministry. This program will be created for fun too, so it won't overwork any of the "students"/interns. It's just a quick introduction to the ministry.
Cool additions would be giving graduates forum degrees etc.
Lastly, lose the negative thoughts, please.
eSA has been on the map long enough for a few generations of players to know that we can be strong. In the end each citizen need not look out for the whole community, but only after his/her small part. Every person's contribution makes the community stronger, and convenient to be in. If we lose YOU, a part of eSA breaks away. Remember that, each person's presence and contribution makes what eSA is today.

I'm currently thinking about the possibility to asking for more people in MoS since Alfredo is active but not there all the time and with the loss of LI, we need someone to fill her shoes, I'll poke around but we should have maybe two new recruits in the Immigration department in the next week.
I might be a new player, but I am willing to learn and wish to contribute. Please let me know where and how.
Well pointed
I have MoS experience.
MoS does have a history. Maybe a few old timers could help. PM me.
