My Explanation
As the saying goes " excuses are like assholes, everyone has one and they all stink "
I try to be a responsible player. When I agree to do a job I will accomplish it and I will not slack off or leave my job unfinished. I cant stand it when people sign up for a position and then do not put out. However, I feel I failed Ireland.
The last week of my presidency I was on a cruise to Alaska. Previously, I thought internet would not be a problem. Unfortunately, when I arrived on the ship with IP and family , I found out that internet cost 75 cents per minute ( way above my desire to play erepublik ). As a student I have very limited funds so I was only able to go on the internet twice on board and both times were around 5 minutes.
I want to apologize for my lack of foresight on the matter. It was my full intention to serve Ireland the whole month and I feel very bad about letting yall down the last week. I did let my Ministers know beforehand that I might not be able to get on but I didnt think there would be a problem.
Since my presidency is over and the current administration has moved away from this I thought I would tell you some of my behind the scenes moves .As some of you might have noticed I had been trying the past month to get Ireland into a war with the United Kingdom. I wasnt very secretive about it but my Ministers and I had been organizing and communicating with countries and groups around the globe to help us in our bid to invade the UK. It was my full intention to declare war on the United Kingdom in the last few days of my presidency. Infact I even got on a computer on the cruise paying through the nose with the express purpose of declaring war. Sadly, I couldnt get the computer to work correctly.
I still believe war with the UK would be the best course of action. This is a game and I think it would be fun for us to be more then a little risky. Hell, how many times has the UK said were not the worth the gold to attack ? Maybe its time for us to test that.
But I am out of government now and likely will not be back in for awhile. Not quite sure what I will do yet but I will definitely be around.

Yeah, my Cruise charged ~1.00/minute internet fee during my eSK Congress Speaker days back in April. Glad I stockpiled Q1 foods and deputized someone before I left, since I didn't bother to log.
Was Alaska fun? Considering it as next year's destination.
