My decision not to seek reelection

I come to you simply saying, I shall not seek reelection this coming term. To be frank, being in Congress is no longer an enjoyable experience. Its actually been physically draining on me. It’s more like an old boy’s club--- at best, a clique. I’ve tried my best through my votes to stand up for everything I promised in my campaign-- voting against unjust wars, protecting American business, and protecting American jobs. I believe, as reflected through my votes, I have stood up for all these things. Yet, I’ve been accused by a few of my colleagues of voting just to be the outlier--- the person who votes against the majority just because. I can tell you this, that claim is complete and utter nonsense. I’ve voted the way I thought would best reflect American interests and in retrospect, I’ve been right. I’ve voted against the war which turned out to be a drain on our economy. I’ve voted to try to protect American interests in every vote I’ve participated in. Which, by the way, I have a 100% voting record. I’ve been active on the Congressional forums. I believe I’ve done a lot for the state of Ohio in one month. Yet, I can no longer participate in a Congress where dissent is unwelcome and people are accused of voting just to be different. I vote my conscience. I vote my campaign promises. I vote my party beliefs. But most importantly, I vote for American and Ohio interests. If that makes me a bad person, then execute me.

I’d like to personally thank the UCP for allowing me to run under their ticket last term. But I’d also like to push the admins to allow minor parties to run candidates. Until the time minor parties can run candidates, this will not be a true democracy. I’d also like to thank good Congressmen like Joshua Tree of Virginia who has truly stood up for the downtrodden in Congress. He is a true man of character and I encourage all Virginians to vote for him for a second term.

In that spirit, I fully endorse GoBucks to be the next Congressman from Ohio. He’s done a lot to improve the integrity of the USWP. Over time, I’ve come to have a lot of respect for what he’s done politically. We’ve had our disagreements, but I truly believe he’s the best man for the job.

Thank you Ohio for giving me the opportunity to represent you and I fully intend on representing you to the best of my ability to the duration of my term. But I’ve decided to focus on trying to build the Federalist Party into something better. Thank you for your time and God bless America.
