Important points are in bold if you don't feel like reading the whole text. I have also posted this in the eIreland boards

if anyone wants to reply there instead.
I've thinking about re-opening my old MT company again but I can't seem to get my head around a few things. I'm hoping I can open a little discussion here to figure out these new moving tickets.
Production:
At Q1 it costs 80 oil to make 1 ticket. At current lowest market price in Ireland (0.14 IEP) it will cost 11.2 IEP. Already they are noticeably higher than tickets in V1 which was usually in or around 10 IEP at high times. Factoring in wages means a Q1 ticket will probably cost between 15 and 20 IEP (this is an estimate as the job markey is still too messed up to calculate wages confidently.)
Market:
There are a lot of left over tickets left on the market from V1 still at high V1 prices. Until these stockpiles are gone MT companies that wish to produce again will not be able to compete. As things are there are approx. 331 Q1 MT's on the Irish market and I do not believe they are selling fast. As a result this is having a negative impact on oil imports and the job market.
Quality:
One of the annoying features about V1 was that Q1 tickets were always more economical than any other quality. Citizens would happily sacrifice 2 wellness to save money on tickets, especially considering they could gift themselves wellness on arrival at their destination. The production of tickets above Q1 was not feasible and that is why the highest Q MT company in the world was a Q3 company. Now that we are in V2 MTs have changed and we no longer lose wellness or even happiness from travelling. We do in fact gain 1 of each with a standard Q1 MT. So aside from increasing moving distance is there any reason someone would change the health/happiness attributes of their tickets to make the market more diverse and to meet demand? Unless a Q2 MT costs below 0.19 gold it won't even be an effective happiness booster compared to the booster you can buy in the residential district. In summary I don't think the MT market will be as diverse as the weapons industry markets but I hope I am wrong.
Consumption:
Moving tickets always sold well during elections but only sparsely for the rest of the month. Now that consumption will be split between travelling within the country (1 zone) or travelling further (2-5 zones) I believe this will make things very difficult for MT company managers to keep their companies open indefinitely.
These are my thoughts. At the moment I would like to upgrade my MT company to Q2 and create a company that focuses on happiness as many people seem to have problems managing happiness. Please discuss and tear my ideas apart if you can.
Thanks for reading,
Nephworks
P.S What do people think about getting the state to purchase all stock on the market so production can start again? It would be an expensive investment but the state can use the tickets for the IDF and they are cheaper now than they will be when production get's going again. Finding some orgs to store 300+ tickets could be a problem though. Just an idea atm.

I believe moving causes losses to Happyness, which needs to be regained, most likely through the use of extra Gym hours, at the expense of training or studying.
If you want a moving ticket zone calculator go to www.Saoirse.tk

@cutters I'm not sure about that. Atm it says a Q1 MT is 1health/use 1 happiness/use and a Q2 MT is 2health/2happiness per use so it would not make sense to lose more health/happiness from better quality tickets.
Damn u sean:) The saoirse one is better.
There is a lack of mt's with 3 time zones. To move to north Dakota it costs >100 IEP
so there s a Market oppurtunity.
Also happiness seems to be hard to come by so I'm sure u could make money there
If you travel you will GAIN health and happiness
I lose 5 wellness and 5 happiness when I travel with a 0/0/1 ticket. Maybe I am bugged though.
I do not support government 'saving' MT co GMs...
but I do think MTs can, somehow replace the old gifts of ours in v1.
In fact, I wanna do that math and see if they are viable or not (economically) do maybe the Minister of Health can eventually take care of a MT company (or companies...)
Yeah I got lucky and bought a half dozen Q4 'all distance' MT's last week for 10.50 USD each. Won't be seeing that again.
Great series of articles!
