In the following message sent to President Grimstone, his Uruguayan counterpart admits to a couple things, the first being he did not discuss this with South Africa, he is doing what is best for Uruguay so that they can have Congress because of a possible attack from Brazil and Chile and lastly that they do not see South Africa as a direct enemy but as old friends and future allies.

Hi.
Sorry I didn't write you before. The thing is I want to be clear about this NE we've send you.
As you know, I personally remember the excellent relations we've always had between our countries and I tried hard to interceed last months in order to avoid a real war in the presidency of Claudio. I still believe we've lot in common but the cicunstances lead us to be in different sides of the military map but without feeling you as enemies.
As CP I've to take care of my country the best way I can (like so do you), and this NE is looking for assure us next month congress as we're waiting eBrasil or eChile to attack us.
So I can give you my word that as soon as we secure our congress for this month, we will order our troops to not fight in order to return you all of your regions because as I've said, despite we're in opposite sides in the military map right now, I don't see you as direct enemies but as old friends and hopefully future allies again.
Obviously I'm not asking you to not fight or something like that, just to clarify to you this NE proposal.

In response to this as Minister of Informatiion, I am sad to inform you the citizens that this was all planned by Uruguay and their allies, they were responsible for the RW in the Western Cape that led to them having a border to eSouth Africa again and thus would allow them to NE us.
They do this because it is what suits them, they say we are old friends and possibly future allies but they make plans to attack us and take a region so that they can have congress. No where did they stop and think what do our old friends think of this.
They will not stop at one region either, last term they got extra congress seat for having a South African Region.
And it is thus that we declare a state of war between the Republic of South Africa and Uruguay !
Pick up arms friends and Allies as we defend our sacred lands from the invaders. We will not give an inch while blood still beats through our veins, we will push them back to where they came from and make them rue the day that they orchestrated this move, thinking us weak enough to push aside. We will shove right back into heart of their capital.
I leave you with this, you do not attack an "Old Friend", lest you wish to taste the wrath of his true friends.

buu. I do not agree with this. They stated their reasons and seem fair and reasonable to me. They had to warn before, but that's no reason to create an enemy. Claudio also screwed up in his term regarding this so I'm willing to forgive them.
But of course, the progressive and democratic South Africa will continue their course of action and claim my arguments are the products of a fictional PTO and that thus I'm infected of irrationality. Hypocrytes.
Were you even around? Try reading some articles. I screwed up? I screwed up by keeping them informed and doing as they asked? They wanted the Training War, this shit is documented. We rearranged our country, sacrificed resources so they could have their Training War. Then they get mad at every turn. They had their propaganda war so they could gain more congress members from us. The Only "Mistake" I made was trusting them to have a fair TW in the first place.
I was around, and I have read articles in both sides, as any competent person would do. I have the opinion that you acted too quickly, and warned them after the deed was done. And after that, instead of apologizing, both sides started to throw crap at the other and declaring real war (that was our side first). You sent the war declaration too early. I'm not demonizing you or anything, this can happen to anyone, just as it happened to them now. That is why I am willing to forgive them. I say this in all seriousness.
Claudio u know things were complicated. Like I said I didn't agree with what you did but I still respect you and understand why you did all of it and if you were running in an election you would still have my vote. We all have differences I made some boo boos when I was CP. Luckily Locu forgave me and we move on. Whether yours was a boo boo or a silly error in communication means little in the end and I for one am not going on about a "bad" term or anything. Let us play this out and see where we end up.
I actaully share sentiment with your thoughts, but I believe we should not show weakness or else they will look to exploit it again. Respect your thoughts. Except for the fictional PTO bit, thats a load of nonsense
I will be fighting for eSa but I am also left with uneasy feelings about how things went last term. We cant expect them to contact us and communicate clearly when we didn't do that last term. We will have a war regardless now and Brazil are tied up with Arg at present.
Any Uru's reading this I urge you to speak to Grimstone in advance. What happened to the days when we supported each other? I remember Uru sending over all their soldiers in our toughest hours and I have tanked for you before as well. It is a sad day when we get to this point.

I find it hard to understand how you can stand on the enemy's side. The only conclusion I can draw is that you have not done your homework and thought about how the situation was under Claudio's time as president. eSa had stagnated overall as a country and nobody cared about anything except possibly bitching at the national forum. Uruguay handled the situation that arose in a miserable way. Claudio did the right thing so that we could go out of the situation so proud as possible.
Enbaros is obviously a spy and infiltrator and Crumoet is on track to do the same. Have some courage and stand up for your country when you see that it is under attack. When Hitler attacked Poland would have been entitled if he as Uruguay in this case did warn pole and maybe say that he needed a little more lebensraum?
Ubermench maybe you missed the part where I said I would be fighting for eSa? eSa will always have my loyalty beyond anything else. Doesn't mean I have to agree with decisions a president made. I still respect him and we are on good terms. Given the situation we put them in I am not surprised how things went so poorly. I was in on those chats with Claudio. Too little was done too late.

This is hypocrisy in its highest level, again. When Claudio was your CP for two terms send us an NE twice without warning the second time, the first time he told us when it as already sent. The second one was in order to do Brazil a favor and leave us without congress.
