Let's start with Nameisis' impeachment. He was a good president and a cool guy. And sup, he's out of the government -- I heard he is now creating your military.
Now let's see who became latvian president after him.. yes, Kurzemes Karalis Kristaps, a president without medal for winning democratic elections. It just happens, that's game mechanics and stuff, but, you know, does his power flow from the people of eLatvia? Not from the majority of you.
KKK is a known PEACE supporter. Again, There wouldn't be anything bad about it, if only KKK acted in eLatvia best interests. The thing is, he's not pro-latvian.

Moreover, KKK initiated an attack with only one active MPP on your side -- with Estonia. The two of you are certainly going to erase the whole Scandinavia from eGobba's map. Especially if the Fins decide to counterattack with ALL the MPP's KKK has just activated.

OK. I'll try to answer in more serious manner than "EDEN fail" no "PEACE fail".
1) This game is based on war. Without war stocks are piling up, no profit and mainly - no fun. That is why the games are meant – to have fun.
2) In eRepublik at this moment are two large alliances PEACE and EDEN. It's almost impossible to be neutral. eLatvia have chosen PEACE. PEACE helped when we needed it. EDEN didn’t. It’s so simple.
3) Of course war is war and of course – there is possibility, that luck of war changes. Even eIndonesia, eRussia and eHungary was swept out of eUSA. But… Baltic states are stronger than ever before. PEACE as whole is about 1,5 times stronger as EDEN/FORTIS as whole. So it’s a good time to try our luck.
4) We are not PEACE puppets. We are PEACE members. Of course we are not the largest, but Baltic States together are almost 9000 citizens which is about the 10 place in the world and our XP together is 2,4 mlj, which is about 12 place in eRepublik. I would say this puppet is police dog in the rise of its strength. May be not well trained yet, but with large desire to fight and great passion in doing it.

great thread with good arguments. yes, it's risky, but we will take our chances. it's just we can't forget Finland's invasion and EDEN's apathy. while Finland attacked, EDEN did nothing, while PEACE helped. to sum up, we really remember those, who attacked and didn't give a shi* and those, who helped then, even if now it is harder.

@Latvians: let me remind you that it was PEACE that sanctioned Finland's attack on Zemgale in the first place. There would not had been any attack if PEACE had not given it its blessing. Your lands were traded for the Russian regions controlled by Finland. Yes, PEACE eventually saw it fit to back down on the deal once the Russian regions were returned to their rightful owner, and liberated the Latvian regions invaded by Finns.
I didn't approve of the Finnish operation. I still don't, but it was your beloved liberators that authorized the war for their own gains. Keep that in mind. You were and still are nothing but a chess piece.
