Mid Term Update

Day 1,368, 11:41 Published in India India by Graf Sprat

Its been 15 days since I was elected to serve eIndia this month as the country President. And what a 15 days have they been. From being wiped out by Pakistan and being shoved from 1 free region to the other with Serbian Army under the flag of Pakistan hard on our heels, to a situation where we have recovered all our regions, put our stamp on the capital region of ePakistan and have actually all but wiped ePakistan with the help of our eChinese friends. They rightly say that 15 days is a long time in eRepublik 😉

Anyway, we are in a pretty good situation right now.. All regions are back in the fold after a long long time (some tell me its been over an year since we last had all 17 regions), Pakistan got what was coming to it. China has her boxed pretty well and at the time of writing this has 3 out of 4 of its regions under its control.

The fallout of that however is that our war with Pakistan is over (no border left). However as Maverick, King and I said in our previous articles, we did what we set out to do. Kicked Pakistan out of our regions by ourselves (of course with ample support from our MPPs and the friendly MUs like ST6, Blue Rose, Libertad etc), took the battle to their home ground and defeated them in their capital region Punjab, and have the satisfaction of now seeing them defeated completely with eChina occupying 75% (soon to become 100😵 of their regions.

A lot of people were surprised by our easy defeat in Sindh a few days back after we successfully captured Punjab and then a tame loss in the RW of Punjab. Well, there were a multiple reasons, all leading to the decision of calling off the strike in Sindh and allowing Pak to win Punjab, Gujrat and Maharashtra after that.

The reason was simple. China wanted to capture Punjab, Sindh and NWFP to augment its resources. Now given the new RW rules, its practically impossible for a small country to hold on to a colony for long and given our size, the benefits of added resource bonus in no way would justify the cost of holding off daily RWs in those regions. On the other hand, for eChina, with its large population and manufacturing base, the resource % boost is large enough in absolute terms to justify that cost. Hence to enable the Chinese invasion of ePakistan, we started our slow retreat from ePakistan and even allowed them to win next 2 battles in Gujrat and Maharashtra so that we could win them back in next 2 days while China comes in from North via NWFP to NE ePakistan.

The idea was to maximise the time period for which we could keep the NE with Pakistan so as to allow our citizens to complete missions as well as allow them to keep earning NE training bonuses.

Otherwise, since begining of this term, we have not lost a single battle that we have fought with an intent to win.

The battles with ePakistan have taken up most of the govt's time in these 2 weeks so there is little else to talk about, except the awesome job Ashwamedh has been doing in the Ministry of Media.

So with the revenge on ePakistan behind us (till next time the two of us decide to play this merry go round), this administration plans to focus on the following agenda in the coming weeks

1. Increased focus on Internal Affairs and retention
2. Closer alignment with EDEN
3. Reevaluation of ties with eUSA and a possible MPP
4. Finalization of certain business deals with China that are being discussed
5. Retrieval of our Companies from the national organizations where they are stuck

cheers and God Bless
