I had the pleasure of talking with Ben Swisher this past weekend. Our interview took place before he was promoted to PXO. So I congratulate him now.

You are one of the Airborne's newer members. Can you tell us something about your previous experience in eRepublik?

Before joining the Airborne, I spent a long time in the MI but with some breaks due to RL issues. I've been around the game for a long time. I joined during v1 and truly enjoyed it, back when articles would be getting hundreds of votes if not thousands and the activity was really high in all aspects. I left for a decent amount of time when it went to v2 because that was the biggest mistake of the admins ever. They lost a lot of loyal people. Either way whenever i was playing the game, i was on Rizon talking to anyone that was on. I have been in the eUS Military the entire time and im glad i stayed. I've seen it all from PTOs to being wiped to some of the greatest battles of all time.


Why did you decide to join the Airborne? There are many MUs in this game; why the EUS Military and the Airborne?

I've been in the eUS Military pretty much the whole time i have been playing eRep, it was one the first MUs that recruited weaker players, so a few years back i joined the TC then moved to the MI. I decided to join the Airborne because the MI was getting pretty quiet. I enjoyed seeing the same old faces like BMai, Kitmen, Sojiru and many others from the MI but it wasn't like the old times. One day i was in the eUS Battle Channel and i was talking to some people an noticed that a lot of people that were active were from the AB. I talked to Mashaka Kulala about for a few min and i decided to give it a shot and i transferred. Mash was awesome along with the other people i saw in the room so i knew this would definitely be a better fit.

Have you enjoyed your time with us? Are there any aspects of the experience you have especially liked? Are there aspects you would like to see changed?

Since joining, I have been really happy with my decision. Everyone is really nice, which is great. When i get on for supplies, there are actually people there to give them out, which was frustrating in the MI as there were few QMs. The best part of joining the AB was to see my MI friends have also transferred. Brickwall, Greenday & especially BTT, who ive been good friends with since he joined the MI a while back. He wrote funny stories in the MI and he is trying the bring it to the AB, which i think would be fun to see some bonding in the AB. I wouldn't want to change anything, the people are great and the atmosphere is great.


Have you had any especially funny or unusual experiences while you have been an AB member?

Since joining nothing too unusual has happen, weird conversations and joking around with people are pretty typical on Rizon. Of course, some reminiscing of the old days are a must with the fellow ex-Mi'ers and CyberWitch, who has been around since i can remember. Hopefully more stories and experiences will happen as i plan to be with the AB for a long time.


Would you like to add anything?

I just want to say a great job to all the 82/2 in the past tournament. It was a team effort and we won it together as a team. 101/1 put up a tough fight and also great job by them.
