Make war, not love

Day 725, 16:42 Published in Ireland Russia by Toneh

It's been quite a while since the Macedonia-based players started petitioning to get their country added to the game, but thus far, no success.

Some say that it is because of the RL name dispute that this country has with neighboring Greece, while others say that it is simply because the admins don't feel that adding this country is necessary. Either way, the fact remains that we, the citizens of Macedonia, have to play for other countries, build up their economy, fight their wars, pay their taxes, and so on... Don't get me wrong, personally, I don't mind doing either of those things, but to the younger players that join this game, and find out that their country doesn't exist in-game, well, it is rather disappointing.
I'm not very good at statistics, but I'd say that around 60 percent of the players that have registered here, have quit immediately after they've found out that they cannot live in their eCountry.
If this little country get added, I believe that it would be a matter of time till another baby-boom hits the Balkans, and this time, right here in Macedonia. It happened in Serbia, why couldn't it happen here?

First, we'd get more players in the New World, and with this, more gold in the World economy.

Second (supposing we get added in the recent future), it would be only a matter of time until Greece attacks us, due to the... Well, "differences in attitude" that our two countries have. So, it would basically add a lot of excitement to, what otherwise is a pretty boring part of the New World, the Balkans (with the exception of the Serbo-Croatian wars that ignite from time to time).
So I suppose you got my point already. The world needs more WARS. Well, the eWorld at least. And wars is what it would get, if we get added.

I could go on all day/night on this topic, saying how swell it would be to see Macedonia get added to the game, but I'll call it a night right here. At least in this article, especially since it's my first...

Oh, and I'd appreciate it if you don't flame this article.

Until next time,
Toneh.
