Longbaugh for London

Day 853, 01:41 Published in United Kingdom Pakistan by Longbaugh

So... I'm running for a London seat in the House of Commons as a very proud member of the Radical Freethinkers Alliance.

If you know me (for better or for worse) then, well... you know me. If you don't, then I'll go ahead and introduce myself.

My name is Longbaugh. I was born on Day 479—Friday the 13th of March, 2009—in the United States (Texas).

You see, my first account was Trey Stancher (who was born in California; where I grew up and currently reside IRL). Trey Stancher was born on Day 442 (February 4th) and was uniquely intrigued by eRepublik. When that—my first account—was rightfully perma-banned for multiple accounts (found here and here) I started this one.

Longbaugh, as you know him, was born in Texas; as I was born in Dallas IRL and it's where the majority of my family resides.

When I reached level 7, I joined the United States Workers Party. I campaigned for scrabman when he ran against Uncle Sam in March of 2009 (and lost, but was later installed as President when Uncle Sam was rightfully-impeached). In August, Uncle Sam went on to be permanently banned from eRepublik for being a dirty criminal on a galactic level.

I ran, and won, for the Hawaiian seat in the U.S. Senate in May of 2009. I lost my re-election campaign in June. I never failed to publish my in-game voting record in this very newspaper.

I left the United States in July following the hysterical and inane reaction to an article I penned directed at the United Independents Party (that link directs you to a GoogleDoc because it was deleted by admin in-game). Essentially, I requested their party president, Ansen, address the matter of their congress member trying to steal god from the United States Federal Reserve. The responses to my article were mostly from-the-hip reactions assuming that Ansen and the UIP hadn't in fact endorsed Robert S. Miller.

Needless to say, Ansen did indeed publish a statement addressing my concerns via the UIP Bulletin. And, as a result, we all learned that the UIP had indeed endorsed Robert S. Miller. I had only requested a response in the effort of transparent politics. However, Ansen and many others (including my own party president Zcia) proceeded to attack me as if I had crossed the line. Amidst the barrage of comments and private messages slamming me for demanding only political transparency... I decided to get the hell out of the United States. I left the eUSA when I learned that the higher you get, the dirtier it gets. I didn't want anything to do with the nation as a whole so I moved to Ireland.

I was in Ireland for a short time. I worked every day and wrote a few articles (mainly targeted at those Americans who continued to keep me on their to-troll-list). Upon the explosion of WW3 I moved to Indonesia as I was addicted to fighting every day and wanted to fight for the right side in the war.

I lived and worked in Indonesia until the war ended; when I moved back to Ireland (as I had promised). I joined the Irish Union Party and ran three times for a Dublin seat in the Dáil Éireann; winning all three times. I never failed to publish my in-game voting record in this very newspaper.

I began to openly break from the Dáil (and its power structure) when the Dáil passed a resolution submitted by patton to sign a mutual protection pact with the United States. I argued that it was a waste of 100 gold, but patton got it passed nonetheless. It never produced one single fight for one single Irish man or woman.

The last straw for me was when the Dáil refused to support the United Kingdom when the United States had reduced her to one region: London. I was enraged by my nation's incredulousness and sheer lack of realistic vision (not to mention way too much RL politics being brought into the discussion) of Ireland. And, when it became clear to me that my influence in the nation's daily dealing was extinguished on account of my foresight, I left.

I contacted GLaDOS (who granted me my permanent citizenship) and my friend GGRyan (party president of the RFA at the time) and I got my citizenship and trusted membership in a party I can believe in. I am, after all, a radical freethinker. Not even my strictest opponents can argue that.

Since the last (and successful) defense of London last month I have been a dedicated member of the Royal Parachute Regiment (which has recently been merged with the Royal Marines). I currently am serving in A Company, Task Force 41 of the Royal Marines.

I plan on staying in the UK for the long term. I feel as if I've finally found the perfect mix of politics, culture, brotherhood, and language that I've always been looking for.

I will always fight for the betterment of the United Kingdom. Secondarily, I will always support Phoenix. I will never lie to any of you. I will never attempt to save-face on my mistakes. I am a freethinking Bulldog through-and-through. And, I will never fail to publish my in-game voting record in this very newspaper.
