Long and Old Story: Ch 2-- 105 Princes and the Competition

Day 2,390, 14:20 Published in USA USA by seeker1

The 5 sons of Panda, also known as The 5 Pandas, are Yoda, DaBeast, Dahood, Ace, and Selfie from eldest to youngest. Out of the 100 sons of Dennis, also known as The 100 Denny’s, the most important are Droid and Trigger. The other 98 are unquestioning followers of Droid and are not worth mentioning. The hostility between Dennys and Pandas started when they were mere 10 year olds.

“Look at these 5 pandas, they can’t even win a game of tag, how will they rule a country?” said Droid. All 100 dennys pointed and laughed at the pandas.

“Stop laughing, how is it fair that we only had 5 players and you had 100?” yelled DaBeast.

“If you want us to stop laughing, then you will have to touch all 100 of our feet and I will think about it” declared Droid. “My father is the king and I’m the oldest. I will be your king! I won’t let you 5 pandas to steal my throne”, continued Droid.

“We do not want to throne, we just want play with our 100 brothers!” proclaimed Yoda as the 5 pandas started towards palace.

“Yoda, lets go find some pudding in the kitchen” said DaBeast excited.

“Look at that fatass, always talking about food” said Droid laughing. If there was one word that DaBeast hated, it was fatass. He immediately tackles Droid and knocked him to the ground. They exchanged few punches and were separated by Shima. He yells at them both for not behaving like princes. He had come there to get them for dinner. During the brawl DaBeast punches Droid in the face giving him a black eye. When his own brothers see his black eye they all start laughing at him, which only infuriates him further. Droid is embarrassed from losing the fight against DaBeast. Droid, in order to regain his honor, decided to kill DaBeast. In the guise of peace, he invites DaBeast to a secluded area to resolve their differences by sharing some sweet pudding. DaBeast, thinking that this is a peace offering eats all the pudding, and becomes unconscious. Droid leaves him to die and returns to palace.

Yoda being suspicious of Droid’s sudden change of heart gets worried when he see Droid returning without DaBeast. Yoda enlists the help of Dahood, Ace, and Selfie to go look for their brother. They find DaBeast close to death under a tree in the nearby forest. They carry him to the palace healer. The healer gives DaBeast the strongest and the most dangerous medicine to counter the poison, however, it is ultimately up to DaBeast’s will to survive. Yoda, DaHood, Ace, Selfie, Jody, and Shima are with DaBeast the whole week praying to the gods to show mercy. After week, DaBeast regain consciousness, and also becomes immune to poisons. DaBeast tells them that he was poisoned by Droid. Enraged Shima drags Droid in front of his father King Dennis to give him appropriate punishment. King Dennis knows that the punishment for such a crime is death or exile from the kingdom. Unable to give either sentence to his own son, begs for Shima’s mercy for leniency against his immature son.

Shima forces the blind King Dennis to promise to only appoint the most honorable and strong prince out of the 105 heirs and also that they all will be sent away to train with a sage. King Dennis left with no other option, agrees to the terms. Shima and Dennis both hope that The 100 Denny’s and The 5 Panda’s will get over their differences as they grow up and learn about honor from the sage. They are all sent to train under the great sage Hercules. Hercules agrees to train all 105 princes along with his son Pierre, if they all agreed to fulfill his one request. As their training progresses, Droid realizes that The 5 Panda’s are very strong and intelligent, decides to befriend Hercules son, Pierre by promising to give him gold and riches when he is crowned the King of Hastin.

****Ten Long Years Later****

Pierre and the 105 Princes have graduated from training and return to Hastin with Hercules. The kingdom is excited to see the fruits of their training, hosts a competition to test the might of the 105 princes. Droid strongest of his 99 siblings grows up to be 5’7 and 200lbs of pure menace and muscle. He has mastered the art of mace fighting.

In the first round of the competition, he is up against his brother Trigger, who grows up to be 5’7 and 150lbs master crossbowman. Droid anxious to show the kingdom that he deserves the throne goes all out on his younger brother Trigger and to win, he breaks Triggers left arm. Trigger now even more fearful of Droid gives up. Shima and Vidha notice immediately that Droid has not changed at all.

Unfortunately the blind King Dennis only hears the cheers of his son’s victory in round one. Round 2 is against Selfie, who is more interested in checking out his own 5’6, 180lbs figure in the mirror, than to participate in the competition. DaBeast takes Selfie’s place and goes to fight Droid. DaBeast with his giant mace jumps into the arena so hard that he knocks Droid off his feet. DaBeast 6’5 and 300lbs of pure muscle, makes Droid look like a child in comparison. Droid gets back up. While DaBeast pays his respect to Shima, King Dennis and Jody, Droid with all his might swings his mace at DaBeast’s face. As the mace is about hit DaBeast’s face, he catches and stops it with his bare hands. Droid tries to pull the mace free from DaBeast’s clutches, however DaBeast crushes his mace with his one hand. DaBeast goes on the offensive against the unarmed Droid. Droid after avoiding a few swings ends up on the ground with DaBeast’s mace on his chest holding him down. Droid, unwilling to lose, throws dirt in DaBeast’s eyes and while he is incapacitated, Droid knocks DaBeast to the ground. Droid takes out his dagger and as is he was about to pierce DaBeast’s neck, the match is stopped by Shima and round 2 ends there. The whole kingdom sees that hatred is still in Droid’s heart; however, the only thing the blind King hears is the cheers of his son Droid’s victory.

Dahood’s next, and Droid knows that he will cannot win against Dahood. He had one of brothers sit at the top of the entrance, so that he can push a stone idol on top of Dahood. As Dahood was about to enter, he realized that something was wrong. At the last minute he dodges the falling stone idol. Dahood shoots an arrow at Droid’s feet. “give up or the next arrow will be in your leg.” proclaimed Dahood. Then an arrow from a mysterious source lands right in front of Dahood’s feet. “Give up or the next arrow will be in your leg!” ordered the mystery man. Jody’s mothers intuition went off and she realized that this is her first son, perry, before her marriage with Panda. Unable to let anyone notice, she longed for her son’s love. “My name is a Perry and I’m a merely carpenter’s son!” Perry introduces himself. It was considered wrong at the time to become a warrior, if your father was a carpenter. A father is meant to pass on their skills to their children. The crowd started to yell curses and to call him a criminal. Droid quickly realized that Perry would be a great friend to have. “Why must a carpenter’s son, who is as masterful as Dahood, be considered a criminal?” asked Droid. Droid now getting ahead of himself, makes Perry into his personal friend and proclaims him as an officially recognized warrior of Hastin. “No that right does not lie with you, Droid!” exclaimed Shima. “only the king can make someone a warrior.” he continued. The king agrees and does not wish to offer the status of warrior to this new character.

The competition ends without a clear victor. Droid makes a vow to Perry, that he is will get Perry the throne he deserves. Droid redeems a favor from an allied king Todoor, and makes Perry the General in that nation. After droid returns to Hastin, Perry is sent out by king Todoor to augment his nation's’ borders. He earns the respect of the nation and King Todoor. King Todoor’s heirs were all killed in wars. He has lost 3 sons, and unable to reproduce anymore, names Perry his successor and dies of old age.
