Live Free Or Die - Announcing My Candidacy

Day 395, 18:53 Published in USA USA by LennyA

Good Evening Everyone!

My name is LennyA. I'm here to announce my Candidacy for the small, but great state of New Hampshire.

Alot of you may not know me. I'm relatively new, just surpassing a month old, but I'm also very experienced. I'm currently a Sergeant in the eUSA National Guard. I'm also a recruiter for the America's Advancement Party. I'm very active as well, and if I'm elected, I'll do my best as a congressman to help make the eUSA a better country.

Here a my stance on some of the issues.

Hospitals/Defense Systems:
I wont be promising or campaigning for any hospitals or defense systems like most candidates. Because frankly, I don't think New Hampshire needs them and they'd just be a waste. The only foreign country we border is Canada, and we're quite friendly with them.

Minimum Wage:
Min. Wage should stay as it is. Making it higher might seem attractive at first, but it will just lead to to problems. Your not at Skill Level 0 for long, and making it higher will just mean prices for goods will have to be higher.

War - In General:
War can be beneficial. I'm up for it, depending on the situation. It allows citizens to increase their EP and Wellness if done right. It can also help or hurt the economy.

The War Against France (As well as Military Pay, Weapons supply, etc):
I'm in the National Guard, and I fight. I think the war was a good idea, and I support it.

Some people are saying that our recent losses are due to lack of weapons, and some argue its due to lack of fighting. If everyone fought, sure we'd win. But the thing is, everyone isn't going to. I don't know the exact numbers, but if I had to guess, I'd say only about 50-75% of our country's population are active. There's also the people who simply don't want to fight, or get involved in war. We can't, nor should we try to force them to fight. I also think that it is up to the top guys to supply the military with weapons. Compromising though, I'll admit that weapon or not, if you can, and want to fight, you should. That, and that the priority for weapon distribution should be first Marines, then Army, and lastly NG.

On the issue of pay, I don't agree with cutting it. I'll agree to lessen it, but I think it should stay. This doesn't apply to the Army and Marines, but I think that for new recruits to the NG, an extra income for your first few weeks can really help since food and gifts cost so much nowadays.

Also as a member of the AAP, I'd like to slip in a small shameless plug for my party.

he AAP is a party that is dedicated primarily to benefit America. The party is based off of elastic beliefs that can change in order to adjust to situations thrown at them by the country. By taking an active part in government, this party is made to inspire involvement and giving everyone a voice to be heard on national issues. The AAP is one of the top 5 parties in America.
