A Few Announcements:

I am not running for POTUS or VP in August
I've turned down the suggestion by supporters that I run for President, and I've turned down three requests by potential POTUS candidates to run as their VP choice.
I'm not qualified and I'm not going to pretend I am, simple as that.
As for the "name recognition" factor, I'm becoming known as a crackpot-- a step beyond the "crabby old man" image I was going for-- which is political poison, and I wouldn't want to end up hurting a campaign instead of helping out.

Your Man In Congress
As long as a handful of Americans each month put me in Congress I will remain active there. I'm in my second term and am settling into a groove, finding a level of involvement where I can be a contributor without being a disruption.
I have not missed a single Vote and have participated in most Discussions since my first day on the job. I am not a "rubber stamper," but have been open to enlightenment to alternate understanding. For instance, I now understand and appreciate the role the Militias play and support their funding at the level they get, which is chump change per fighter compared to the amount alloted to Military fighters. In another example, there was, last month, discussion about raising the Import Taxes, and that is now again a current hot topic in Congress-- not being an economist I am listening a lot more than speaking, but my voice is heard as I challenge some points and try to open other lines of thought to the discussion.

The American Military Party
The Joint Chiefs of Staff Rule is that each Military branch Commander may allow, at his discretion, an unspecified number of Soldiers to serve as Congressmen. Sitting Congressmen cannot leave the country, so as soldiers they are limited to fighting only in domestic battles.
Chairman of the JCS Jankems further clarifies this, saying "At this time, I think its okay if branches have a small number of congressmen intermingled/on LOA, but I don't want branches to have platoons and dedicated units for such a purpose except for NG."
The AMP will continue to support, through endorsements and Party-paid Ads, the candidacies of Soldiers running for Congress. But I won't be making a bigass push campaign to recruit Soldiers to Congress. More on this and the future of the AMP in another article.

This Newspaper
While I will certainly continue to voice my dissenting opinion, I have no great desire to lead the charge to destroy S.E.E.S. and demonize Emerick. I do appreciate and acknowledge the support I have seen, I know I'm not alone and therefore probably not hallucinating the things I find objectionable, but I've "taken point" for a while now and it's someone else's turn. Emerick and S.E.E.S. are a mixed bag-- while it's indisputable the good things that each has done for America, it's also clear that they employ methods many find objectionable.
This is not saying I won't express myself, and I certainly do expect dissent in return. But I'm not going for personal attacks and name calling, and I will not accept these in return. Keep it clean, boys.
I hope to turn my attention more to reporting activity in Congress, contributing an occassional Propaganda piece in the Media War, and sharing more of my "Storytime With Uncle Charlie" articles, and of course the always fun "chick pics" and "one-pic-one-line" fluff pieces.

National Primary Election

America will be holding a National Primary Election on August 2nd, to determine our next President in an off-game vote, so that on the game mechanics Election Day we might all go to Croatia to vote there.
Read the articles, read the Forums, get on IRC and talk with others.. learn about what is going on and why.. be an informed citizen and an educated voter-- both on August 2nd and on the 5th.
I am studying this, myself. I hope to publish an Op-Ed piece in this space tomorrow, August 1st.
