Life and times of an ambassador to eUruguay

Day 603, 11:39 by Iggy Incubus
The first few days as an ambassador to eUruguay have come and gone and I feel no more educated about this country than I did when I signed up for the job. I first attempted to contact the President, Daniel Gardel. I tried to contact him but the letter was lost in the mail (most likely since I have no record of sending it), I only found that out though after a few days of waiting of reply, thinking the whole time I may have done a terrible job of introducing myself and am going to get nowhere in my new job.

How do you introduce yourself as an ambassador anyways? how do I convince people I harbor no ill intentions in a short concise letter. My month in ePeru has taught me some things about South America, but not nearly enough that I am the most qualified person for ambassador, hell, I don't even speak Spanish enough to formulate an understandable sentence. I have to write a weekly report about this country and I can't even read the newspapers, let alone the forums.

I'm pretty sure Uruguay has a forum, try finding that from another govnerment official an introducing yourself via forum. Also, ask the government or former government about talking to them on IRC, etc. As far as their newspapers - either google translator, or you can download firefox, greasemonkey, and eRepublik plus, which has a "translate" button next to every article. Try to find an embassy on other countries forums and get to know other the eUruguay government and people to know, and where the forums are. Good luck, ambassador!
