Liberal Party of Australia: Manifesto

Day 573, 06:54 Published in Australia Australia by Liberal Party of Australia

This manifesto has been made for the purpose of presenting the eAustralian citizens with the views and beliefs of the Liberal Party of Australia (LPA). The LPA was created by Mr. Awesome on May 23, 2009 on the principles of compromise, fairness, justice, and equality. The name has been set based on the definition of the word "liberal" before the connotations of actual political parties with similar names have been ascribed. Dictionary.com defines it as: noting or pertaining to a political party advocating measures of progressive political reform.

The Liberal Party believes in a compromise between the left and right sides of the political spectrum, promoting socialism and capitalism, respectively. The main ideals of leftists are to bring about more regulation of the economy, most notably in the form of government owned companies, training facilities, and price and wage regulation. Rightists want a conservative society allowing for a generally unregulated free market along with a smaller government. The LPA, however, is based in the center of these two ideologies. It is a centrist party, meaning that it does not promote radical socialistic or capitalistic reform. Instead, the party is progressive, looking to encompass aspects of the entire political spectrum, looking for the best ones and promoting them for the overall betterment of the eAustralian people.

The Liberal Party can also be considered progressive, meaning, according to Dictionary.com: favoring or advocating progress, change, improvement, or reform, as opposed to wishing to maintain things as they are, esp. in political matters. This does not always mean that the LPA is looking to change, but instead, is always looking for the best options, independent of any political bias. Officially, the LPA does not sway toward either side of the political spectrum. Its key descriptors of "liberal" and "progressive" suggest that at some points it may find that either more socialistic or capitalistic plans may be better for eAustralia. The "centrist" ideology that the LPA is classified as is not necessarily meant to define the party as it is to place its beliefs about progressivism in perspective to the left and right sides of the spectrum.

On matters of national politics at eAustralia's current standings, the Liberal Party members do have some common views. The LPA believes in the eAustralian government owning and operating certain government owned companies, although, these companies must be regulated absolutely so as to allow for citizens to personally influence the economy in the form of buying and selling goods and owning companies. The diplomatic, peaceful release of eAustralia's original regions is also essential, but conquering or diplomatically entrapping should not be a priority. The government should be able to monitor the economy through the use of recommended wage and price charts, but can not directly cause certain companies to be disadvantaged.
