Leave EDEN or leave INDIA?
Death and Taxes
Hello everyone. Not an article that I wanted to write at any stage, but I have to face the reality of the situation. As an Irish citizen for nearly a year, I have dedicated 90% of my time fighting battles for EDEN. The other 10% was spent fighting for small countries like Paraguay, Japan and The Philippines.
In all these battles I have always fought for what I felt was morally right, and that, by and large is what EDEN has been about. Yes, I rarely if ever, fought for Turkey, Romania or Argentina, but all alliances have baggage.
I had a lot of reasons to leave Ireland, and in fact my first destination was originally Australia, but India seems to have been inspired choice. I vowed that by coming here I would stay for 6 months as a 'tour of duty'. My purpose here has been always to give my best advise to the country (wrong at times as we know!), contribute to the community, and fight as best I can in her interest.
The last few weeks have been a roller-coaster of emotions as I have tried, and failed, to advise the people and the government that resolving the issues between Croatia and ourselves was in our best interests.
I am not going to go over the issues here, they are covered in previous articles I have written.
However, I have tried independently to contact some friends and colleagues on our opposing side and in the EDEN HQ to try and engender the first steps to a peace treaty. I'm afraid to say that these discussions have come to nothing. Accordingly, I have to make an honest assessment and that is this:
Is my loyalty to my new country or my old alliance?
Let me assure you that this was never a proper choice, certain people in EDEN and Croatia have made my mind up for me. Therefore, I find myself thinking about what is best for India.
I am now diametrically opposed to EDEN. I am now advising India to hold a vote or referendum in the next congress and fast-track our candidacy to join CoT. While I have always fought for India, I will now try and ensure that what little damage I do, hurts EDEN the most. I will run for congress - if we have one - to try and ensure these actions and measures are reinforced and completed.
For those of you who pour scorn on an individual leaving EDEN, I answer thus, the people who know me and understand my integrity realise that this is a moral issue. EDEN has lost all moral arguments, and the sooner it is killed off, the better for all of us.
My friends will remain my friends, that is one thing that can never change.

EDEN is defunct, and has been rotten for an age.
Do whatever you feel is right.

I enjoy your articles even though I don't agree with you on many of your arguements.
Thanks D&T for choosing India to support. I hope the small community that we have, grows in strength and that you will be part of the Baby Boom and Retention efforts. Lots of work to be done, every man on board is an asset!
thanks again! o7

I can certainly understand your feelings. Though, personally, I have no wish to see eAlbania, eBosnia and Herzegovina, eChina, eColombia, eGreece, eIsrael, eItaly, the eNetherlands, eNorway, ePortugal, eRomania, eRepublic of China (Taiwan), eTurkey, nor the eUkraine suffer. Let's remember that EDEN is not an entity, it is a collection of countries that fight for a common goal. And while I have been frustrated with many actions as of late I would still choose to fight for many of the countries on that list over their alternatives, namely the tyrannical likes of Serbia and FYROM.
Our differences aside, I appreciated the read.

thank you mate for being with us and supporting us.
best regards

D&T: Appreciate your words as I have always done.
"EDEN has lost all moral arguments, and the sooner it is killed off, the better for all of us"
Agreed. As somebody who was pro-EDEN for years and campaigned for Ireland to remain in the alliance. The last month and a half have shown a dreadfully supported EDEN policy with which I wish to distance myself from. Let the alliance die.
You're more than welcome to come back to Ireland, Mal.
Unfortunately such vilification double standarts as Roger's above is what has made EDEN the cancer of the game.
It has assaulted our senses with endless propaganda about evil and who is evil.
While Serbia is a country who has built and rebuilt empires over time, it has earned that right by building the bigest community and strongest military force. It is part of the game to fight, conquer, resist and so on. Vilifying them for that is all good and fine as long as you practice what you preach.
EDEN hasn't practiced that for a very long time if ever. I can give countless examples.
Taiwan has occupied fully or almost fully Japan and SK for months, how are they not imperialist pigs. Turkey has not only done that, but has attacked allies and pro-EDEN countries for resources and kept them occupied. Romania hasn't, not because it doesn't want to, but because it can't. Greece same thing in Arabia, where Egypt and SA are PTOed by Croatia and Greece, but no one talks about that just Serbian PTOs. I'm not mentioning Argentina as they have left the TITEDENIC already.
What is the common between these countries is that they're too weak to be empires no matter how much they want to be and cover their ineptitude with propaganda against those who succeeded.
Then there are those beep Bulgarians, who just go around and pick fights with the strongest of the day opposing them and give them all a bad name, damn beeps, can't they be a wanna be imperialists too!
For too long EDEN has relied on you're with us or against us mentality and if you're against us you're evil because you're with the evil ones.
The result has been predictable, however what was also predictable is that the ones at the top will take EDEN into the grave kicking and screaming before they're ready to relinquish power and so they have almost succeeded.
In the process however they have made it hard and arduous road ahead for all those countries to reconcile with the rest of the players community.
Typical that Argentina had to follow my lead. Bloody copycats....
@eRichard Parker, you are so hilarious.
btw, why does the next congress need to ratify joining CoT. why not this one?
The same reason what the CP, MoFA, MoD, MoC and MoF have failed to publish any articles for over a week. For all the IRC activity, the nuts and bolts of how a government plans its work and then works its plan is currently beyond them.
Communication is king.
There is no communication

@DaT - got to agree with you on the communication part.
