King Albert II welcomes famous explorer

Day 1,381, 02:41 Published in Belgium Belgium by Adrien de Gerlache

Brussels - Earlier today, His Royal Majesty, King Albert II of Belgium, was spotted at Brussels Airport, where he welcomed famous explorer Adrien de Gerlache jr. upon his arrival in Belgium.

This great-grandson of the famous polar explorer was greeted by the King and Queen as he returned from a rich career of expeditions and exploration. In a short reaction to the press, Baron de Gerlache stated he was overwhelmed with the warm welcome he received from his fellow eBelgians. He added it was a true honour to meet His Royal Highness and that the King showed real interest in his voyages and discoveries.

Baron de Gerlache also announced his return would bring a new project to eBelgium: Tierra. While he was still somewhat secretive about what this new project actually entails, he did reveal he was delighted to bring science into the eLife of many eBelgians.

If more is indeed revealed on this secretive project, you will read about it here, of course.
