Karacticus : Cabinet applications
Hello again, I'm going to keep it brief, this article is dedicated to asking people to apply for positions in my cabinet should I win on the 5th.
As I've previously said to those who have asked about applications, I wanted to take a little time and write a few expectations down and also give each applicant an idea of what I'd like them to be getting on with this month. This could also provide you with an insight into me manifesto (Part One released tomorrow).
General Ministerial Expectations
All applicants must be both IRC and forum active (once a week doesn't count). You'll also be required to attend regular meetings and produce a weekly progress report which will be published for public consumption. Having a sense of humour and a firm grip on reality are also a big plus.
Must like walks in the country, visiting art galleries and...oh wrong advert.
Positions Vacant
Chancellor of the Exchequer - You will be able to Manage the Bank of England, advise cabinet and commons on money transference, set and maintain the currency base line and to work closely with the Minister of Economics in exploring new money making ventures.
Minster of Economics - Your duty is monitor world and home economies, devise new and lucrative initiatives for the government to invest within and lead the economic task force. A firm understanding of Erep economics is a must.
Minister of Foreign Affairs - You will be the eyes and ears of the government in all that is foreign affairs related. You will be required to help maintain international relations, provide a heads up on major international incidents and carry out some specifics that will be revealed on Wednesday...
Minister of Defence - You will need to be able to manage our armed forces, coordinate with our allies and help us develop a smooth transfer into V2. Living on IRC is a side effect of this post.
Minister of Legislative Affairs - The main tasks for this minister will include managing proposals made, pushing the Lords into finding and destroying any useless Legislation, release regular updates to the public and tell them what congress are up to. There is something else but I'll tell you about that tomorrow.
Minister of Home Affairs - Maintain and increase the excellent levels of contact we have with new two clickers, produce weekly educational articles, create more in game activities for two clickers, promote irc and the forums...There's more but that can wait until tomorrow.
Minister of Work - Manage and maintain the upkeep of our Government run companies. Work with the economic task force in the event of V2 suddenly arriving to determine which sectors of industry we need to invest in. Must be very active and able to keep detailed records.
Minister of Tech - Continue advancing our use of helpful legal scripts and begin exploring the possibilities of a multi purpose hub which two clickers can use to request info and help from different government departments. I'd also like to explore the possibility of a FAQs page which takes key words and links players to wiki pages or relevant articles
Cabinet Secretary - Oversee contracts, inform cabinet members of meetings and new announcements made by the PM and generally being helpful.
Director of Communications - Gathers and compiles weekly reports from cabinet members, edits and passes them onto the PM for release in a weekly "What we're up to" article. This person will also be tasked with creating a workable mutual voting system and making sure cabinet papers carry links to other government papers and government run ads.
Senior Policy Advisers - We'll be looking to take on one or two senior advisers to be on hand and chip in if needed. These people will need to be experienced with a proven track record of being excellent in erep.
Economic Task Force - A collection of the greatest economic minds we can get our hands on. They will aid the Chancellor and MoE in devising financially lucrative investment opportunities, advice of economic growth plans and be on hand to plan for V2.
