“A candidate’s campaign articles and platform are just the lies that he tells the people in order to get elected Josh.” You know who told me that? The guy that told me that was one of the greatest presidents this country ever produced. His name was Scrabman. He was a great politician and a great President. People probably don’t remember him now and if they do it’s strictly by word of mouth.
Here is where I am supposed to puff you up and fill you full of false promises and hope. Like all politicians I am going to unveil some super secret plan or strategy that will get us out of this mess and lead us onto the path of victory. It’s easy right and it involves absolutely no effort from you whatsoever. It’s going to be magical and I am going to be your savior.
It’s time you learned something about the game and the people that lead you. There is no secret plan and there is no magic bullet that will restore America to its former glory. No one person, no matter how big his bank account or dedicated can turn defeat from victory with just a snap of his fingers. Anyone that tells you that is feeding you a line of horse sh*t.
Victory against our enemies still doesn’t solve the fundamental problems that got us into this mess in the first place. Don’t get me wrong, I or anyone else could bankrupt the treasury and we’d probably get our territories back. Does it change anything? It’s a band aid to the problems that led this country down this path and in 6 months we would probably find ourselves in the same predicament again.
We have problems in this country that extend far deeper than just losing battles or territories or even elections. We’re highly factionalized across the board. We are and have always been highly partisan. We are even factionalized across even military lines and we have no long term national philosophy to speak of.
First I want to talk about parties in America. Pssst… parties do not matter. There is absolutely no difference between the Feds, WTP, USWP, AMP, or any 6th party. They don’t differ on any significant policies domestically or internationally. No difference in tax policy, domestic policy, or even international policy. So why all of the partisan infighting? Simple answer… Vanity. It’s pretty cool having the #1 party in America I guess. Other than that it’s pretty useless.
Imagine if we all accepted the premise that beyond a game mechanics standpoint that parties didn’t matter. The Department of Interior and the parties could work together to build a strong top 5 that would prohibit PTO threats in this country and we could ensure that all our newer players get all the help, support, and resources they need in order to flourish in the game. Instead we spread out manpower and fight amongst each other for absolutely no reason at all.
Now, lets talk about Military Units. We have over 170 of them. Seems excessive doesn’t it? Currently we are divided along private and public lines and whoever is in charge of the Department of Defense or the NSC has to run between at least 20 Military Units coordinating damage. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could just voluntarily work together to consolidate into maybe 10 of them and focus all of our time and energy into supplying troops and working together to produce the best battle plans possible? It’s a crazy idea, but if people are willing to put aside their differences and work towards the common good, then good things will happen not just for the country but for the citizenry as a whole.
So why am I saying all of this? I want power right? I want to oppress you! No…, I do not. What we need in this country is a fundamental philosophy change in how we conduct ourselves on both a political and militaristic level. We have created a nation that is fractured and impossible to govern properly. We aren’t a united nation, instead we are a confederation of parties and MU’s that only work together when we are threatened. We can accomplish more and achieve great things if we work together all the time, instead, we spread ourselves thin along a variety of different fronts and do not have the necessary manpower to accomplish the goals we need to ensure our basic survival.
My campaign isn’t based strictly on getting our territories back. It’s based on changing America philosophically into something that can endure long after I and every other player here is gone. We need to gravitate towards a system that is truly based on Country > Party > MU > Self. This system is based strictly on a philosophy that teamwork can and will make this country great.
Now a lot of people tell me that it can’t work. What I am advocating is political suicide. The American people are too selfish and too set in their ways. We’re a country of individuals and nothing is going to change that and that is just the way it is. I don’t believe that. I believe that we as a people can change. Why? Because we are standing at the brink. Territories or not, if we continue with the attitude of business as usual we will eventually crumble and cease to exist.
The philosophy I have proposed to you has been tried before and it worked in a little place called Pakistan. An entire nation based on community where everyone worked together for the common good and the greater glory of the country. I can’t force you to do these things. I can’t legislate them into existence. What I am doing is challenging you to think on the nature of the game and the way we have played it. The Presidency is about more than policy, it’s about leadership and using the office as a bully pulpit to see the social change necessary to make us a better nation. I want to challenge you to think and I want to challenge you all to be better. We need to reassess our actions and our game philosophy. I’m advocating a change in the way we play the game to ensure our survival as a people and to allow us to work together as a team. I’m not here to present myself as a savior, I am here to help lead the way to a new America that can save itself now and in the future.

Josh, you can't compare a country that has 30 times less active citizens, like Pakistan, to ours. Projects that are workable for them could be impossible for us to achieve.
Just an example: today I've suggested to Kemal an economic tool to fight the PTO: we would impose very high taxes and give a refund to our loyal citizens, crippling the PTO through these kind of "economic sanctions". Guess what: it is way to complicated and can not be done. But it would function in Pakistan with ease!
You use the statement that there is absolutely no difference between the top parties/6-ers to opt for a new kind of political unity, but I think we've already been there.
To have a certain CC with a certain cabinet is simply not a reason enough to bring the whole community together!
I've made the same statement about the political parties months ago, but I've suggested a development of the parties in a sense to have a distinct profile and a recognizable political agenda.
Why do you think that differences among us are an obstacle?
Calling for the Department of Interior to regulate the political scene is a dangerous idea; this way we are on a path to dictatorship and wouldn't want to see us walking this path.
There is a tendency of the "old" players to think in terms of the game-playing like it was in the past. But things have changed. For example: military units are now open on a international level. Players from any country can join any MU. Calling for a reduction to 10 MUs in order to focus the damage better is wishful thinking in an old fashioned way. The real challenge for any new government is how to coordinate the damage, even if we would have 80 MUs more, because if we will develop as a country, the numbers will increase.
So many nations envy us because we have built a stable system. What we need to do is make it more efficient, easier to adapt to sudden situations and flexible regarding future game changes. (to be continued)
Our system is far from stable. The "stability" we have built has put us under a year long PTO threat. It's lead to an invasion that is very hard to get out of. I'm not calling on the Department of the Interior to regulate the political scene. I am saying that the federal government and the political parties should work together to build a strong Top 5 and to help new players thrive. There is no danger of a dictatorship at all if the DoI is working with all parties and as I said before the parties do not have any legitimate political differences. Furthermore Valiant Thor.... The game was much harder and far more complex in the old days. It wasn't simple by any stretch of the imagination. What we have to combat now are creations by the admins (like unlimited MU's) to increase their profits. The emphasis of this article is on people working together as a team to further a common goal which is the nation and the survival of the community
I'm aware that the electoral system was more complex before, then it is now. And if we haven't been that stable, we would have been PTO-ed a long time ago, like many other nations, as it is done systematically with great effort by a country that has done it to numerous others. They have succeeded everywhere, but not here. As for the teamwork: I see it now and it is constantly improving on many levels. Otherwise we would have still been wiped, regarding the power of our enemy.
The game was more complex across the board not just electorally. As far as teamwork. It's teamwork brought upon by crisis. I want teamwork in times of peace. too.
America needs to be changed philosophically, but in a another way: more responsibility, more dedication, more mutual understanding and more tolerance. Inspiring words, beautifully written like yours, are great for our morals, especially during hard times like these, but they will simply not restore our glorious past or take us to an even more glorious future.
I'm all in for a better America, you just haven't convinced me that you have picked the right tools to overhaul the society and I am certainly very skeptical about the path you would chose!

I learned a lot from somebody who had been there.
Pretty good. Pakistan is quiet, but as you alluded to, the small size makes it easy to build a nation strong relative to it's size. 😁
1. We have over 6,000 gold in savings, mostly from contests. This in a nation with virtually zero tax income, 300 players total, and under 100 active players. We have enough referral farmers and gold buyers to support most programs while saving most revenue.
2. We are holding four regions across two nations to support a 40 person congress, we have peaceful partnerships with all bordering strong nations, six MPPs to provide daily training, and a 16 billion damage national shield to make people hesitate about attacking.
3. We have 100% transparency for the use of government funds, provide 100% food/weapon support during contests, and generally do everything possible to educate and support our citizens.
4. We placed in the top three national rankings for all the recent contests. This is mostly a prestige factor.
5. We don't exactly have a spicy political climate... though this is one point where things are getting messier as the biggest party recently (and most would argue justifiably) took over the outsider party.
Overall, keeping Pakistan CS and fighting USA battle priorities is a nice balance. I've done about 300-700 million damage daily since the contest started, 95%+ for USA priorities. But keeping Pakistan CS gives them a 20-40% boost in national damage for contests, magnifying their gold and shield bonuses, where in the eUSA the same damage would be a drop in the bucket comparatively.
