It Takes a Village to Raise a Child. It Takes a Nation to Raise a New Citizen
We are growing, Ireland. When Patton started his first term our population was at 1397. It is now at 1497 and growing. That is a 7.16% increase in the last month. Another piece of evidence that demonstrates we are growing is the increased voter participation in this Presidential election. Last election we had 329 votes. This time we had 360 votes, the highest in Irish history. This is a 9.42% increase. Hmmmmmm. Interesting.
The foundation has been laid, and all areas are gearing up to peak efficiency. We are poised for a Baby Boom. I've never seen one myself, so I'm not sure what to expect. I know that it will be more than 100 net new citizens in a month. With all ministries working their combined e@$$3$ off, we will be able to handle the influx.
Do you remember that saying? "It takes a village to raise a child?" Well, it will take an entire country to raise a New Ctizen. This is your call to action, folks. If Ireland is going to come out stronger in this next Baby Boom it cannot rely solely on the ministries. We need you!
You are the heart of Ireland.
You are the reason people stay.
You are the reason people get involved.
There are so many ways you can help. Become a mentor. Become a deputy at one of the ministries. When you see a New Citizen become their friend. If you are an employer when you see new citizens get involved if they seem a little lost. Vote on their articles. Subscribe to their papers. Encourage them in the forums. Educate them, discipline them when necessary, but most of all just give a damn.
It's not just the game mechanics that excites people. I think most of us can agree we stay because of the interaction with others. That has remained consistent througout the course of this game, and I don't see that changing, do you?
I can't speak for the other Ministers, but I can certainly use some help. I need people to help track baby noobs and make sure they get to where they need to go. Right now I track approximately 200 to 250 noobs at any given time. If we have a baby boom this will become more than I can handle on my own. It's tedious work and must been done on a nightly basis. So if you can't dedicate that kind of time, I don't want ya.
I would also like someone who is experienced with immigration. This is an area that I think needs to be addressed more indepth. We don't have a huge number of people immigrating here currently, but that can change very quickly. I would like to be as prepared as possible.
I never ask more of people than I'm willing to give myself. If you are straighforward, dedicated, and a hard worker, we will get along just fine.
Until later,

Your doing great Edana, ill help if you need anything done.
lol I've already warned Ian that you are wanting a new noob to mentor. We can definitely use your help there.
when I get the levels going I will most definitely help you Edana, so now worries, if it is only me, then thats one more person to help and to take pressure off of you.
I am mentoring many, unofficially, and always have.
I expect to have some more time soon. Talk to me if you need to, lets see where I can help.
I love noobs with a passion. They are the lifeblood of the game.
Hey, I was once one, myself ;0)
And some days, I wish I was again......
I'd be there for you Ed, but I'm flying on Monday. When I'm back I might take a little eTour of the world but even if I do if you're happy to be assisted from over eSeas I'm happy to assist.
Nice speech
Thank you all! I know most of you are very involved with noobs unofficially, officially. There are some that just solid that way. And it shows. We just need more people to do more of the same. Such exciting times.
...But it takes an empire to raise a Deity!
Your article is so true Edana. If any of yall are not involved in the eGovernment of Ireland please sign up with Edana to help out. It will make the game more fun for you and it will help us retain the newbies that we are bringing in
