Iranian players can’t buy gold because of the real world and the problem between Iran and U.S.A
I have some questions
Do you love your country?
Do you proud your-self because of your nationality?
If your answer is yes I will tell you “so do I”

If we don’t proud our-self because of our nationality, this game doesn’t have any meaning
It is normal reaction to be angry…what did you do if you were us?
Why I can’t be like everyone else?
Why I can’t have equal rights even in e-world?
Is it just because I was born in Iran?
I know it isn’t admin fault and they have to do this but I hope they understand us and at least let us to show how we are angry with this situation

Man, the action of administration is what real kill the game (and fun in it).
My own citizen was banned:

But don't worry, buying gold is not really nercesarry. You can make this up by recruiting more people.
Of course you have equal rights here. I'm an American. Every Iranian I've ever met in person or in this game has been a good person. No one is keeping you down. This could be because of some kind of trading embargo between our two countries we love so much.
If this is the case it is silly but at the same time. In the internet world money can flow pretty easy you just have to have enough cash to make it happen. That being said what you would probably need to do is get an account from the Cayman islands or Switzerland and try that way :o)
However I agree with everyone else and think its silly to spend real money to buy fake money just for a game. What about the people lesser fortunate than yourself that do not have the Money to buy fake money.

While it is unfair that your are unable to buy gold, it is simply a RL law that must be respected by the admins or they will be breaking the law, as you have indicated. If it is any consolation, buying gold is overrated, I have never bought any, and never plan to.

It's not a law in RL it's the fact that ER uses standard payment options like PP and CC's .Companies that handle online payments do not do business in Iran ,mostly because the Gov in every country must pass some laws about the safety of the payments and all sorts of regulations .I suppose that they felt unsafe with the feedback they got form the Iranian Gov and they decided not to do business in Iran.By any means not ER's fault or the Americans (which I do not really how they began being blamed in the comments ) .

This game is run by Romanians. eRepublik is based out of Bucharest. If you can't buy gold it's likely because of the Iranian government, not because of any other. You don't really need to buy gold anyway. I never have.
With that said, this is a game. You can either be dutifully loyal to your RL country or you can move to, say Pakistan, where NO ONE is really from Pakistan. The same goes for China and North Korea. You don't have to hinge your entire eRep experience on your RL national pride. And, this is an American saying this...
