Day 549, 05:57 Published in North Korea United Kingdom by malta_1990

At 5:30 pm Erepublik Time on the 21st of May 2009, with 5 votes to 0, the Congress of our neighbours, South Korea has unanimously declared war on Japan. The proposal in Congress and voting results can be seen on this link. On looking at the Debate Area of this law, one is linked to the following article by South Korean president, Yonai Keiko:

The First Step of a New Life

The South Korean and Japanese government have reached an agreement, as yet not published, to merge as one country and thus make the South Korean nation non-existant in the New World. This agreement will be terminated once South Korea is fully ready and strong enough to stay in control.

In the North, this could cause a great deal of heartbreak to the United Korea advocates who would have wished for a state breaking free of its RL split. This will also cause the Independence and Neutrality advocates some worries about the safety of NK. Whatever happens, all North Koreans wish for closer ties with our soon to be neighbours - the United States of Japan and South Korea perhaps? 😛

In a further statement in response to doubt raised by some South Korean citizens, Yonsei Keiko released the following statement:

"We have no reason to doubt the eJapanese populace or government. The actions of war-hungry citizens over a year ago when the war module was just being unveiled should not effect our relations with eJapan. As Alfagrem has stated, eJapan has the most in common and is the most friendly of all our neighbors. Trust me when I say I would never put such a plan in action unless I was fully sure that it would work, and that those we are merging with could be fully trusted."
