Ireland Needs You. Read to the bottom (youtube) and you'll see why.

Day 589, 14:36 Published in Ireland Ireland by Irish Department of Defence
Attention IDF troops and Irish Citizens alike.

This month has been a momentous one for the Irish state, the recent "Shannon Exercise" masterminded by President Nithraldur triggered intense military activity and split our brave nation into two camps of highly motivated and outspoken views. The wealth of data collected on military operational readiness has been mammoth in proportion, and eye-popping in it's serious nature. Never before in the history of this state have we had so much intelligence at hand as to the real state of our preparedness for war.

This is not the place for further debate. This is a serious call to action.

A translation from the Latin. "Therefore, he who wishes peace, should prepare war; he who desires victory, should carefully train his soldiers; he who wants favorable results, should fight relying on skill, not on chance."

Whilst we continue to debate internal politics, the e-World is at war. Continuous fighting across nations, from take-overs to resistance wars, governments and armies in exile, the landscape is changing rapidly. Now is not the time for complacency. Focus is needed. Now.

First, I want to highly commend the brave soldiers of our IDF.
They have taken all of the command changes and mobilisation events firmly in their stride.
Training has continued. New recruits arrive daily. Previously inexperienced citizens have taken to the battle-fields and given their all. C.O.s have busted their collective guts to rally their troops. Men are out on voluntary foreign missions tracking events overseas.

From bare-fisted fighters, to privates with q1 guns, right through the ranks our men, diplomats, congresspeople and fierce celtic women have dragged themselves up by their boot-straps and collectively sounded the battle-cry. WE ARE IRISH ! WILL PREVAIL !

I have proudly served alongside them. I have watched battles from beginning to end, analysed fighting styles, tracked foreign mercenaries and battle heroes, and head-hunted high ranking soldiers to join our army. I have benchmarked our performance against other states. We have much still to do.

I invite every last one of you to join the IDF now.

Our natural state of "saints and scholars" can only continue to flourish if we can first defend our homeland to the best of our ability. Every citizen has a part to play.

Join now. I guarantee you, no-one will be turned away.
Noobs can be mentored in a reserve division, where they will be taught to fight well, and increase their wellness.
Experienced soldiers can learn from others, and get more opportunities to serve both at home and abroad. Rank up quickly, and in style.
Positions are open for those who want to stretch themselves into become a commanding officer. Contact me, I'm listening.
Camaraderie and the sharing of intelligence amongst soliders is a rare and precious gift. Barrack rooms can be the scene of a much enriched e-life with your comrades.

But, as they say, it's all fun and games until someone loses an eye.

I hope to e-God you have read this far. Because here's the kicker. If there is a single one of you wondering why this is important, then watch this now. Do it. Really. This is what a real e-army looks like. (please paste the link into a search, the format will not allow a hyperlink. It is the main point of this article. Don't ignore it. Please!)

It's not too late.

Those still waiting assignment to a division, I assure you , you have not been overlooked. This will happen within days.

Finally, it is CP election time again. Whatever the outcome, this is not a political issue. Trust me. It is a matter of national and state security. Politicians may come and go, at the vote of a democratic electorate, but the defence of our nation, and preservation of our way of life is paramount. Never, ever forget that.

I would die for my country, but I would not let my country die for me.

Dismissed. *salutes*

Grainne, deputy Minister of Defence.

**** The traditional closing message to my troops alone. *mwah*. I love every last stinking one of you fine Irish brutes. Without your dedication and bravery, we are NOTHING! ******
