IRC Chatting ---> Its not complex

Day 1,355, 06:54 Published in Malaysia Malaysia by Firebourne

Oooops... I lied.

First and foremost, let me welcome you to the game. Its a brilliant game if you try hard. Well, I may boast and talk rubbish like a veteran who was in this game since the dawn of time, but the truth is, its only my third month in this game. Amazing how time flies when you think about it.

The first thing I notice about this game is that, its very easy to get frustrated with since it does require you to login everyday and click those three ugly buttons which are, "Work, train & get reward". Well it doesn't have to be that boring. I mean after all, it is after all the internet. Imagination is never limited on the net.

For starters, you can always go to eMalaysia's IRC channel which is #erepublik.my . There, you'll find it easier to chat and discuss with other eMalaysians. Now for those who do not know what IRC chat is, quoted from wikipedia, it is defined as, "Internet Relay Chat (IRC) is a form of real-time Internet text messaging (chat) or synchronous conferencing.". Its basically a simple version of Windows Live Messenger and Y! Messenger.

Types of IRC Messengers?
--> You have two types of methods;
    - Web-based messenger
    - IRC Clients

Examples of IRC Messengers?
1) Web-based messengers
   a) Rizon ---> http://rizon.net/
   b) Mibbit ---> http://02.chat.mibbit.com/
2) IRC Clients
   a) mIRC (shareware)
   b) X-Chat (freeware)

Which one to choose?
1) Web-based messengers
   a) Rizon;
      - Simple to use. No registration required.
      - Click chat and fill in your nickname(just use your eRep nick).
      - Under channel, type #erepublik.my . No password will be required
      - Click connect, and you're logged in!
   b) Mibbit;
      - Needs registration but more secured.
      - You can try without registration (Just found out) 😛
2) IRC Clients;
   a) mIRC;
      - COMPLEX AND SHAREWARE! You can use it for free, but...
      - Though its free, you'll just have to put up with the reminder
      - Can be "modded" with scripts
   b) X-Chat;
      - Free and convenient
      - Simple to login
      - X-Chat does support scripts but not the same scripts which mIRC uses.

Remember noobs, everyone's a troll on the net, especially on IRC. So, don't get emotional about statements on the net. Hope this helps you in getting know to some eMalaysian trolls. Good luck and keep on trolling! 🙂

The end.
