Introducing the United States Cavalry

Day 953, 09:04 Published in USA USA by Cavalry Public Affairs

"Cavalry is the arm of shock and firepower, it is the screen of time and information. It denies the enemy that talisman of success—surprise—while it provides our own forces with the means to achieve that very thing, surprise, and with it the destruction of the enemy."
—Major General James M. Gavin

The United States Army Group East is now the United States Cavalry

AGE has been a significant fighting force in the United States Armed Forces. Beginning June 30, 2010, the branch will say goodbye to our sibling branch, Army Group West, and raise our branch to the next stage of epicness.

Why the rebranding? What's changed?

Well, since the Great Army Split of 2010, which split the former United States Army in half, dividing into equal branches so that more opportunities would be created for qualified soldiers to rise up in the Chain of Command. The former U.S. Army Group East has been cooperating with our brother-in-arms over in Army Group West for several months, and it has been decided that for a continuity of strength-based offering of various branches to our soldiers, the Cavalry will now have a higher strength and damage rank option for soldiers to consider.

The entrance requirements have been raised from 9 to 13 strength, and soldiers interested in joining must be currently hold a damage rank of at least Colonel.

General Gannonus will still be the Chief of Staff for the US Cavalry, Lieutenant General Mainegreen will still be the Vice Chief of Staff, and Major General Ralph Ericson will remain the Executive Officer.

What about the divisions in the former AGE? What happened to them?

Well, we've renamed them to 1st, 3rd, and 11th Cavalry Regiments with the same officers from former AGE's divisions:
* Former AGE 2nd Division is now the Cavalry 1st Regiment
* Former AGE 4th Division is now the Cavalry 3rd Regiment
* Former AGE 10th Division is now the Cavalry 11th Regiment

Essentially besides the rebranding, we are not restructuring our divisions/regiments completely inside-out.

What about the RECBN? Will the Cavalry still have this program?

Absolutely, it is in our tradition to provide training for our incoming soldiers as they require them. We encourage our troops to learn what it means to be Cavalry, educate them in our battle tactics, and lead them to become very active, high strength and high damage soldiers.

The RECBN will continue to be run by the new converted S-3 (Training) Department in the United States Cavalry.

What about the Rangers? What will happen to them?

The Ranger Program in the US Army Group East (also known as RAGE) will become the eUS Rangers. The unit will be a part of the Cavalry Branch, but it will remain its own individual entity.

The Ranger Indoctrination Program will continue to operate as usual and will be taking in students on a regular basis in the United States Cavalry.

The entrance requirements have been raised from 15 to 20 strength, and soldiers interested in joining must be currently hold a damage rank of Field Marshal.

I'm a soldier currently in the Army Group East, but do not meet the new entrance requirements. What should I do?

Soldiers currently in Army Group East will have the option to be grandfathered into the United States Cavalry or may be transferred to the United States Army Group West, which will later be renamed to United States Army.
