Introducing: The LSA (Not to be Confused with LSD)
Although I may or may not have been under its influence when I wrote this.
I'd like to introduce to you my new political party: the Libertarian Socialist Alliance (LSA). The main goal of the party will be to increase social liberties, establish domestic programs (court systems, education etc.) and to increase the exposure of the Czech Republic to the world. Here is a short summary of our goals:
Economy:
*The LSA understands the importance of company ownership as an aspect of this game, but also the importance of government involvement in the economy for the sake of national prosperity. That is why the LSA advocates a heavily mixed economy.
*The LSA supports higher VAT to take CZK out of circulation, therefore strengthening the currency. Income tax should also be slightly higher. The LSA will support moderate import taxes- high tariffs for manufacturing, but lower ones for natural resources (since CZ has no high productivity territories).
Military
*The LSA supports massive recruitment into the Czech Army, and an army gifting/ticketing program to give people greater reason to join.
*The LSA also supports the initiation of training wars, and the active participation of Czech troops in both domestic and foreign training wars.
Foreign Policy
*The LSA understands the importance of neutrality to the identity of the eCzech nation, however, it also understands that without cooperation with other nations, this neutrality can not be contained.
*The LSA will support non-aggression with Hungary, but with ties to other large nations for protection purposes.
*The LSA also supports greater cooperation between the Czech Republic and other small nations of similiar size.
Domestic Policy
*The LSA supports basing our society upon the forums like most nations do. The LSA pledges to launch an advertisement campaign and benefits for those who join the forums.
*The LSA supports the creation of an International Czech University, to educate new players (and old ones) in the workings of eRepublik.
*The LSA supports the launching of a government lottery program to increase participation of people in the game.
*The LSA also advocates a small direct government, laying power mostly upon the president and congress, but supports the launch of an extensive system of institutions where democracy can exist.
*Lastly, an LSA government would support the use of referendums to decide major policy changes.
So far, I have not created a forum for the party, but will be creating a completely bilingual one soon (and I apologise for not making this article bilingual, my others will be in the future). Also, I have not decided who to support for president, but am not satisfied with either one of the options presented and will most likely be launching a "protest candidate".
So don't hesitate and join the LSA: http://www.erepublik.com/en/party/libertarian-socialist-alliance-2509/1
