Intro to Secretary of State: Candice Michelle

Day 1,721, 14:42 Published in USA USA by Avruch

The new Secretary of State in the Glove administration is something of an unknown quantity in eUSA politics. To help the citizens of the eUSA know a little more about their government, Candice Michelle was kind enough to sit for an interview between classes. Below, she discusses her background, her views on the eUSA and alliances, the recent election and even the just barely announced Fellowship alliance.

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself? When did you join eRepublik? Have you always been a U.S. citizen? What military units have you been in?

A: Im a 21 year old female living in the US.I believe in treating other people the way i want to be treated. People that know me in game will tell you im polite and always looking for ways to make them happy or get them to laugh 😛. I try to avoid drama as much as possible in game and out but if you step at me the wrong way your going down lols and im pretty much easy to get along with.I joined Erepublik a little over 3 and a half years ago and no i have not always been a US citizen. I started out in USA but when Taiwan was introduced to eRep i moved there for about 2 months then returned to USA. The only military unit I have been in is Air Force.

Have you had roles in government before? Can you describe your other experiences in eRep that lead you to become the Secretary of State for the eUS?

A: This is my first role in any government and i want to think my dear friend Glove again for giving me the opportunity for this position . As far as other experiences I ran for Congress in Hawaii twice, Missouri three times, and tennessee and all resulted in failure xD. That’s about all the experience i have in politics but you have to start somewhere.

I see you’re a member of the American Military Party. What do you think about party politics in the eUS? Have you always been an AMP member?

A: Party politics I haven’t really been a fan of as of late because many of them congress and potential presidents alike will do anything to win and I don’t believe the candidate or any of its supporters should make false screenshots or anything to try to undermine the opposition. I don’t respect people who use dirty tactics to get into office. I have not been in the AMP long i was previously in USWP when i first started out then i went to RLC when it was first formed.

What do you see as the role of the eUSA in the eRep world? Do you have a view about how closely we should work with our allies, which allies are most important to us, and if we should join / rejoin any of the alliances out there?

A: The role of the eUSA is to defend the interests of eUSA and our allies. The allies most important to us in my view are Brazil,Russia, and Canada. I don't think we should join any of the current alliances currently out there but instead make a new alliance with Brazil, Canada, a few other allies that have always supported us and possibly Spain if they get their act together and stop signing MPP’s with the former ONE countries.

Are you open to new alliances if any are proposed?

A: Yes of course. Any nation not hostile towards our current allies has the potential to be an ally.

Is there anything you can say as a preview for what the Glove administration will mean for the eUSA and other countries?

A: Let me just say that unlike the previous administration we will be assisting our allies and not fighting them xD not only through MPP’s but direct wars as well as soon as we get our MPP stack back 😉

Recent events - what do you think about the recent war with Canada? Do you have an opinion on the comments that many have been making recently, that our alliances and wars are too focused on the Balkan conflict?

A: The war with Canada was a terrible mistake and has unfortunately strained our relations with many of our allies. This month I hope to restore the trust our allies had in us. The Balkan conflict I have to admit is boring and I do believe any future alliance we are apart of should revolve less around the Balkans.

Any thoughts on the Civil Anarchy / Glove election? Was Glove unfairly tarred for his association with the Republican Liberty Caucus?

A: Civil Anarchy/Glove election i believe was the most epic election in eUS history. Yes, I do believe Glove’s reputation was negatively affected by his association with RLC. Glove has always been loyal to USA and because he was endorsed by RLC does not mean he is a PTOer or a pawn of RGR like some are claiming him to be.

I’ve been hearing some comments about an incident from a couple of months ago involving PMs to Ukraine and claiming the position of MoFA (known as Secretary of State in the US). Can you clear up for us what happened, if anything, in that situation?

A: Yes i did send a pm [claiming to be MoFA -Av] to the country presidents of both moldova and ukraine when i did not have a position in the government. I had expressed my dissatisfaction with this drain war to then president Israel Stevens but nothing was done so I took it upon myself to attempt to stop this war. Unfortunately it was an unsuccessful attempt at peace. I do not regret attempting to make peace on my own without being in the government at all because if my allies are fighting when we have bigger priorities then I feel the need to step in and help in any way i can. Im kind of a carebear lol always want to be the peacemaker 😉

One question about breaking news - what do you think about the new Fellowship alliance that smee_again leaked this afternoon?

A: Well i feel sorry for Spain and Poland they ally with our enemies so they cant expect us to be friendly under such circumstances. If they wanted friendly relations with the US all they had to do was cease the MPP’s with our allies enemies and free our allies under their occupation.

Is there anything else we should know or that you would like to say to those who read this article?

A: Whether you supported Glove, Civil,or neither I you all.I hope in the future we can unite as a country and stop the infighting.

Thanks Candice for agreeing to this interview! Looking forward to seeing what you can do on the global stage.
