Interview with klop123

Day 2,394, 10:06 Published in Belgium Bulgaria by Mr YYY

Hello dear readers 🙂

I’m starting series of interviews in the next weeks with several diplomats or just nice people, just like us, playing eRep 🙂

The first interview is with klop123, The current eCanadaian MoFa and former Canadian CP.

1. Hello, could you tell something about yourself in RL?
I'm a RL Canadian living in Toronto. I work and study in international economics 😃

2. In the game, how did you start to play eRepublik?
Well, I was bored a few years ago and saw an ad for eRep. Joined and thought it was pretty cool, way back in V1, still here today although I did take some breaks in between.

3. Can you describe the eCanadian society with 1 word? 😃
This is a hard one. I'll go with tenacious and it's synonyms. Our core community has been around for a long time and have fought through many different circumstances (long wipes, V2 etc)

4. About yourself, what have you done in this game?
I currently serve as 2nd Commander of Canada's largest MU, The Captains of Industry. I have served as PP of Canada's largest party four times, been MoD eight times, MoFA three times and have stood as CP of Canada.

5. And what haven't you done, what do you wish to do?
There isn't much I have not experienced in eRep, perhaps the financial aspect, but other than that I'm content with what I've done.

6. If you were Plato, what'd you change in the game?
There are lots of things that I would change if I were Plato. Setting aside the obvious need for a fixed economic module, I'd say the military module. Long gone are the days of strategy and objectiveness for war in eRep, now it feels like a merry-go-round, just to get more money from us players.

7. Canada is a member of LETO, could you tell us the good sides of LETO and the bad sides of the alliance?
LETO is an excellent alliance to be a part of. Everyone respects one another and works together, on and off the battlefield. Furthermore, the alliance is not based on damagehood, it's a group of nations working together as a brotherhood. I think without doubt this is one of the best alliances I've had the pleasure to be a part of. In terms of negative aspects, there is very little. All alliances have their problems, LETO is no exception, but we work towards solving the situations as a group, so I don't have anything bad to say about LETO.

8. Who are the best friends of eCanada in your opinion?
The best friends of Canada are Asgard, Portugal, France, Australia and Ireland.

9. How do you make diplomacy in a virtual game? 😃
Personally? I prefer to stay respectful to everyone I meet, ally or enemy. The key, I think, to good diplomacy in eRep is following up on commitments to friends and being respectful yet effective in dialogue between enemies. Beyond that I believe it's all about understanding that this is a game, don't get too into it or bring RL problems into it, keep it enjoyable.

10. What do you want to be different in the eWorld?
Lots 😛 Beside changes in modules, perhaps more strategy into the game. It's all about gold and big spenders now, but making things harder to do would make things interesting to say the least. Think, NE 7 days versus a longer time limit 14 days? I think it would make war a little more costly and perhaps have the bigger nations that go to war with each other rethink their strategy.

11. Which module in the game is your favorite?
Military. Despite my weak strength, I enjoy the military module the most, as it is the most important part of the game. It's easy to make an impact in , through supplying, COs, buying damage and actually fighting.

12. Who are the biggest enemies of eCanada?
Probably USA and UK. USA because of our recent war history. The UK because who doesn't like a good ole invasion of the UK, something Canada has done at least once a year since the end of TEDEN.

13. Regard something to the readers 😁
Thanks Vesk0P for the interview and thanks to all the readers o/ Stay Classy my friends ~_^
