Interview with John Largo

Day 2,173, 19:20 Published in USA USA by Al Alson

I am going to try to keep to the name of the paper and try and post every week lol.

However let me first say that I consider it an honor and a privilege to interview John Largo who is undoubtedly one of the most if not the most influential player in eUSA. I would like to thank Mr. Largo for taking the time to answer the questions I gave him and I would like to wish him good luck on his presidential run !

Now to the interview:

1. How and when did you start using Erepublik?

About 4 years ago, I was playing fantasy football and i clicked a link.

2. Did you find the game interesting from the beginning?

Actually yes. Well the metagame was very interesting when I started. The eUS was coming back from the first "almost wipe". I think we were 3 or 4 states back from just Florida..and the President was resigning because he had to go to jail IRL. It was interesting, yes.

3. How to did you become politically and socially involved in the game?

I found a political party and grew in it. I joined the CVP just as they were fighting off a PTO from Ajay Bruno, former RGR, (yes history has constantly repeated itself). Shortly after I joined the name changed to DemReps, and I grew and learned from the party leaders: Desert Falcon, Cromstar, Angelini, Deificus, Evry, and Logan Dunleavy. Eventually we lost the PTO fight and disbanded. Now-a-days I call AMP home, and think it is a great place for eager players to learn the game.

4. What is the secret to your incredible military success?

I've played for ever. 😛 I train as much as I can every day and buy every offer Plato presents. (I would be much stronger if I did not resist this early on) The biggest secret is to join the eUS Military. I am now a Marine, one of the best MUs in the world, but I started in the National Guard and every level there were people and processes in place to make me better and help me learn.

5. What is your advice to the newer players in the game ?

Join AMP (or at least join a party), Join the Training Corps (or at least join a MU), Strength train as much as you can, and level up as slowly as you can.

Thank you Mr. Largo for your time and for answering these questions.

Thanks for reading !
