Interview -Clop's side

Day 1,238, 04:12 Published in South Korea South Korea by crayven

A next step in my plan is to get to know both political factions here in SK.
For this i have travelled to meet current president Clopoyaur who has agreed to answer me a few questions:
( Answers are directly pasted from the chat )

Q: Mr president when did you first came to SK and in what conditions? Could you give us a bit more insight on those days ?
A: I have arrived in South Korea at the end of Rising if I remember well. I thought it was a good place to die because i didnt liked the new module. However, I found here decent people and liked the community. I saw very good potential here and started to work with Grease (president at that time) as MoFa.

Q: What has your government done in SK in order to benefit the country in your term as president?
A: First of all out of the last 5 months i only got elected president in 4 of them. There are many things that have been pursuit and done in the last 4 months.Taking it cronologically:
-Back in December we managed to make the first regions swaps in the country history managing to increase our bonuses with Taiwan. Also the government managed to revive the country and to create a baby-boom, many of the today citizens being born in that period as a result of me taking the presidency and the other side declaring me as a PTOer.
-The Ministeries of Health, Defense and Foreign Affairs started to work as they should and the emulation was great. The press was revived and the country was heading to a great future.
The baby-boom lead to the Koreans taking back the congress and the CP seat and I was hoping this would be for the better. However, in the 1 month period, due to his inactivity and poor decisions (among them a so called TW with Japan, resulting in giving them bonuses for free), 75% of the babies died and quit the game. They were not supported, they didn't had motivation to stay in the game, so we ended up pretty much where we started.
I regained presidency back in February, but by that time, the former government was committed to destroy the country, emigrated to Japan and started an offensive against their own country. They managed to wipe the country 2 times, but the government managed to gather the forces and fight brought back the country on the map and also pushed the enemies back near Tokio.
As a result of the war the economy was devastated and we took almost 1 month to get things back on track (meaning production restoration, exchange rate, wages, etc.)Now we are back on track and all the ministeries are doing their job as they should.
A new problem emerged with the new rule ragarding the trade routes, because our capital, Jeju, was isolated form the rest of the country. We are trying to solve this problem, but it proves to be really hard.
All in one, we have offered any citizen a proper environment to develop and to have access to the resources while also, having the change to increase their skills and ranks.

Q: There are voices in the population that accuse you and your regime of PTOing the country, how do you reply to that?
A: The question you should ask yourself is who are these voices?
Roland_up - Japanese guy that had does everything in his powers to make Japan rule over South Korea?
Rythemdj and his team - who left to Japan and took over 1 q5 hospital, 1 q5 defense system, 2 q5 weapon companies and 700 gold, all belonging and created by the Korean citizens?
Wladimir Rascian - Serbian, of course trolling against Eden supporters? Dan/Nad - whose only purpose is to get the CP medal?
Everywhere there are people that are against, but since i had a majority of over 50% in the elections I guess, my term is legit, without even saying that is my 4th.
So, if I say you are Emo, does it mean you are? No. Can I say it? Yes. - That is the difference .

Q: All History aside, have you ever considered to co-operate with the less radical elements of the rebel faction?
A: In every term of mine i have offered to cooperate with the Koreans. Their answer was always NO.
Here are a few examples:
- http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/message-to-rl-south-koreans-and-grease-supporters-1598531/1/20 - Refused
- https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PK7S6qvCOzCsButInAnR6cSOQiLM72tbos6iR9qmRvw/edit?hl=en&authkey=CPWbmNIL# - proposed agreement between the two groups in 14 feb. during the Japan-Sk war for the Koreans. My group accepted, the Koreans refused.
This Term I have proposed the 2 Koreans to become part of the government as vicepresidents, Icome and obamalucas, both refused.you cannot have a dialogue with people that dont want to talk. If any of them is willing to help and participate in the government I am always open.

Q: If you would sit and debate a mixed government which points you would NOT be open to negociate?
A: External affairs!

Q: Considering your pro-EDEN thinking, would you think it is wise to put ourselves as allies with them even though they are on the losing side in Europe?
A: We tend to believe we are a steady nation that already proved his orientation pro-Eden. Therefore we are there in good or in bad times. This is what loyalty means.

Q: How would you respond to accusation flung at your government for funding the FSR romanian group?
A: The government funds the people who are willing to fight trough the ”South Korea fights” project and trough food campaigns initiated by the Ministery of Health. Every Korean citizen can participate. As for the accusations, they must be proved.

Q: Are there any plans to expand the country's borders or we're just limited to the TW with Taiwan? Would you consider opening a war as a means to attract new players?
A: Expansion is not very likely as we are one of the few countries in the world having in the native borders both grain and iron. Our economy should focus on that.Expansion in this area is kinda limited and we dont have yet the power to do it and to mentain it.
The training war with Taiwan is extremely beneficial to our country as it offers us the NE bonus in training, which means extra 15 stregth points per month for everyone.

Q: You mentioned the economy. What plans to you have for its development?
A: As soon as the iron bonus will come back, we will be able to produce more, prices will drop a bit and our market will be very attractive for external customers. The increase in demand will lead to probably even higher wages and further opossibilities for people to buy weapons and bread to develop their skills.
We had in plan a monetary issue for the people to buy land, but the current exchange rate is almost equal with the issuing cost, therefore the solution was abandoned.

Q: The people don't seem to connect with you apparently. Would you agree to hold a press-conference through this newspaper?
That is to say, answer questions addressed by the public at large?

A: I don't see why not! I am always open to dialogue, suggestions and ideas.

Reporter: And that concludes our brief interview, thank you for your time mr president.
Clopoyaur: It was a pleasure to give you this interview and I will always answer to the questions launched by our citizens.

Join us in our next issue when we go over to the Revolutionaries' side and take a glimpse at their motives, agenda and goals.
